Super Chef and king of spice Cyrus Todiwala OBE is going east. Located within the new Lincoln Plaza London hotel near Canary Wharf, the ethos behind his new restaurant is inspired by Cyrus’ own rich Parsee heritage.
The menu is full of family recipes which blend traditional Indian cooking methods with non-traditional yet brilliant produce like venison, duck, langoustine and an array of British vegetables. Cyrus takes ingredients and sustainability seriously using British produce from small hand-picked suppliers, many of which only supplying just one ingredient.
Cyrus brings with him signature dishes he has developed over the years which are set to become Canary Wharf favourites like organically reared Wester Ross salmon marinated in green chutney, and chargrilled in a tandoor. For mains, a beef Xacutti has 21 ingredients and three stages of cooking. For desserts, try the bebinca, Goa’s most popular pudding. A pancake batter is made with coconut milk and nutmeg then baked in layers.
If you can’t decide what to order Mr. Todiwala’s gourmand tasting menu showcases many small tasting courses designed to take you on a culinary excursion packed with cuisine from different Indian regions. If you are still hungry, you are welcome to ask for more too!
Linger over the tasting menu and enjoy interiors lovingly created by multi award-winning Designer LSM. Guarded by a huge elephant, the double height dining room is decorated in bright blues, oranges and reds. Look up and see fans created with distinctive sari fabrics, hanging displays of copper pots and shelves of Indian artefacts.
Make a night of it in one of 129 comfortable, stylish hotel rooms which create a feeling of relaxed luxury. You can also luxuriate in a 24-hour fitness centre, complete with 18-metre pool, sauna and steam room. Lincoln Plaza London is part of the Curio Collection by Hilton. The name intrigued us. Curio actually means that each hotel is different from the next, with individuality being a common thread that offers guests local discovery and authentic experiences, along with a quiet reassurance of the Hilton name behind every one.
