While wandering through Motcomb Street, you’ll surely notice the grand white and stuccoed neoclassical façade of the previously-known Pantechnicon. Dating back to 1830, this big historic building once served as an arts and crafts bazaar in Belgravia before becoming a storehouse where London’s aristocrats kept artworks and furniture purchased from around the world. Combining two Greek words—pan, meaning “all of,” and techne, meaning “art,” 19 Motcomb Street now hosts some of London’s top eating and drinking spots, with three recent openings all together: SACHI, Amélie, and LUUM Lounge.

Amélie
An elegant Provençal restaurant serving Mediterranean food, Amélie captures the lively, pleasure-seeking spirit of the bon vivant and the sun-soaked flavours of the Riviera. The moment you step inside, the ambience feels very artistic, featuring a grand staircase leading up to the mezzanine dining area from the ground floor. Inspired by the Côte d’Azur, the restaurant boasts an outdoor terrace adorned with elegant tones, rich textures, and tasselled parasols. Not only that, but Amélie frequently hosts live entertainment and DJ performances to keep the vibe alive.
Head Chef Steve Ravenueau and General Manager Rudolph Galand curated a sumptuous menu. You should start by trying their caviar before heading to the appetisers, including some tempting options like Steak Tartare, Salade Nicoise, Taboulé de Quinoa, Truffle Pizza, and of course, Les Escargots.

Onto the mains, the L’entrecôte Wagyu, a classic, is a must-try, or the L’agneau, made from tender wood-fired half lamb loin with cocoa beans and tomato. Alternatively, you can have the Poulet à la Provençale, a flavourful chargrilled chicken served with a rich Provençal jus. Seafood lovers could have the Crevettes Grillées with grilled prawns, harissa, and herbs, or the Le Rouget, featuring grilled red mullet paired with a fresh tomato. To share, you can enjoy the La Daurade Rose—Grilled Pink Bream with Sauce Vierge, Bar de Ligne Grillé featuring a Whole Grilled Sea Bass, or Sole Poêlée, Seared Dover Sole with Champagne Sauce and Caviar.
The dessert options also hit the spot, including their iconic cheesecake, La Framboise (Raspberry & Lychee Tart with Rose Chantilly), and La Tarte Aux Pommes (Apples)—sweet and hearty. On the side, you can pair your meal with a selection of signature and international cocktails, as well as their carefully curated French wine collection.

LUUM Bar
A sophisticated late-night lounge, LUUM’s spirit is all about Mexico’s heritage and romantic flair, designed with rich colours and textures, all while soulful sounds set the beat. If you’d like to have a more private night, they even have four Private Snugs for intimate gatherings and special events with your loved ones.
LUUM’s cocktails honour all the different flavours that grow in Mexico—from fruits to aromatic spices—they have a well-curated list of agave and sugarcane-based spirits presented in elegant glassware and earthenware. There are superb twists on elegant classics including one of the best espresso martinis I have ever tried. Puebla Mist is a creation with Butter-Washed Bladnoch Vinaya whisky, espresso, Grand Marnier and tonka. The tonka and the whisky combine so well to create a stunning cocktail.
Inspired by what grows above the ground, this selection celebrates light spirits and the zesty flavours and fruits of Mexico, including options like the Sunset Bliss, made with Enemigo Blanco Tequila, Hibiscus, Grapefruit, and Franklin & Sons Pineapple & Almond Soda.

In contrast, their Below the Ground section has cocktails that are aged, bold, earthy, and rich. One standout is Amethyst Roots, made with Lost Explorer Espadín Mezcal & Tequila, Purple Carrot Shrub, Manzanilla Sherry, and Black Pepper. The most refined of all, Precious Stones’ cocktails are prepared using vintage spirits from the last century, such as OPAL FIRE 44 José Cuervo Blanco “La Rojeña” and Cointreau 1960s.
You can pair your drinks next to small dishes prepared by Mexican Michelin-trained chef Coko Becker, with a selection of tacos, ceviche, and shareable plates, each crafted with a modern twist while honouring traditional flavours.
