Located in one of the most exclusive neighbourhoods of Mexico City, Polanco, Casa Polanco takes care of guests as if they were long-time friends. After a tour of the beautiful Costalegre, this was the ultimate way to spend our final night in Mexico.

You have easy access to key tourist spots, as well as a selection of cultural wealth with points of interest in exquisite gastronomy, boutique shops, and art galleries. Just 5 minutes away, you can find Avenida Presidente Masaryk with a variety of Mexico’s fashion and lifestyle zones, or Paseo de la Reforma that connects La Condesa and Roma, two very well-known neighbourhoods that are considered icons of the city due to their vibrant personality.
If you are at Casa Polanco on a Saturday, moments walk away is the most enchanting Saturday market, which is a must-visit. Located in Lincoln Park, this is a bustling, local market with stalls offering food, handicrafts, fruits, vegetables, and more.

The Anatole Suite
One of the iconic suites, The Anatole Suite, has a delicate design that reflects local culture. With a direct view to the captivating side street, a carefully curated amount of natural light that fills the room with peace of mind, this is a perfect place to immerse yourself in an intimate yet elevated setting.
As you enter the 58m2 (625 sq ft) room, you are welcomed by a resting area with custom-made furniture that invites you into a serene space. The natural light reflecting on all corners and polished fine walnut wood floors make the room change atmospheres to classic elegance. The walls are decorated with original 1940s panelling and hints of Mexican art, completing your stay by mixing narratives of their rich heritage and comfortable visit.

Walking in, there is a king-size bed covered in distinct Soft Egyptian cotton linens, making mornings slow and evenings quieter. A flat-screen TV facing directly at the bed for maximum comfort, right next to a desk and chair, where one can work or dine with a purifying view. While resting, you can also enjoy a complimentary minibar filled with artisanal, thoughtful items.
Framing the room at the end, a spacious bathroom provides Xinú Bath Amenities and a double sink for optimal refreshment. A rain shower and huge tub are complemented by organic textured cotton towels as well as robes that complete all the essential needs. The Anatole Suite is not only beautifully designed, but it also reflects how Casa Polanco strives to deliver the most sophisticated experience. With unique designs, precise layouts, and complete amenities, this was a suite that really felt like home from the first moment.

Exploring the other room options
With the same thoughtfully constructed amenities in every one of the 19 rooms available. You will enjoy the well-being of soft organic cotton and exclusive linen sheets, which, with the art on every wall, elevate the experience. Every area embraces modern luxury with recognition of history. No matter what preference you may choose, there is a guaranteed comfort and enduring sense of indulgence.

The Architecture
The hotel is filled with preserved history carried by natural light, while a thoughtful touch of modernity is evident through designs that reveal a connection to Mexican culture and a blend of art and high hospitality. The interior of Casa Polanco showcases a mindful restoration of an aristocratic private home built in the 1940s with a Neo-Colonial Style. By preserving features such as the ironwork, plaster ceilings, and large windows, the property has become a landmark in the area.
Suites and social areas are located in the historical manor as well as in a contemporary building, creating an architectural exhibition as you navigate through the hotel. With the help of the acclimated interior design duo, Mónica Romo and Mónica Novelo, this environment is meticulously furnished with a mix of classic and retro styles, completing the elegant and authentic atmosphere, complete with three terraces to also enjoy.
As if it were not enough, there is an exceptional private art collection featuring works from contemporary Mexican artists. Photographs from artists such as Graciela Iturbide and Luis Fernando Salazar, while adding pieces by Ricardo Mazal, Jordi Boldó, and other exclusive artists. All of which demonstrates how Casa Polanco distinguishes itself from any other by their elegant choices of design, services, and details that make it one of a kind.

Dining
Casa Polanco makes sure all your senses are taken care of. With an incredible view, comfortable touch, a refreshing scent, and a quiet rest, they do not leave your taste unattended. A considered start of the day includes the “Eye Opener”, served outside your room before breakfast with selected teas or coffee upon waking.

The exclusive restaurant, La Veranda, offers a menu for every time of the day. You will be able to enjoy breakfast all morning with a complete selection of Mexican and American breakfast offerings. We experienced canelés that were better than those in Paris as well as their signature Casa Polanco eggs. Organic sunny-side-up eggs on a homemade blue corn tortilla, topped with creamy chorizo sauce, with grilled panela cheese triangles, refried beans and avocado. Only Casa Polanco can deliver a breakfast like this. Best of all, the restaurant is not open to the public and is exclusive to guests to keep that sense of home.
During the day, La Veranda transforms and in the afternoon, there is a complimentary afternoon tea, fulfilling your craving for a glass of champagne, a selection of wine or reserved teas and infusions, accompanied by culinary treats, cakes and sandwiches. A smoked salmon and avocado was our favourite. Look out for a complimentary popsicle stand on the terrace with some super interesting flavours.

The Library is not to be missed and will hold what you desire. Extending towards the cigar patio, one is encouraged to enjoy self-service drinks and snacks while grasping a worry-free environment that enchants every time. There is also a comprehensive drinks trolley in The Library with a top shelf of agave from Casa Dragones to Clase Azul. Our favourite was an Avion Añejo that was aged in oak casks for two years. There are also LIEB cigars available, which are included for all guests staying, great for a pre-dinner treat or nightcap. The Library is open 24 hours a day in case you want a very late nightcap.

Inside Casa Polanco
It really felt like such a home from home. We felt so at home that we were walking around the house in the comfortable hotel slippers. For those seeking a pause from the city, Casa Polanco’s tailored experiences will deliver that and more. Apart from the scenic panoramas that every window, terrace, and patio reflects, these spaces allow everyone to soothe their senses with no hesitation. As you walk around Casa Polanco, there is an enchanting musk enveloping the air, which is courtesy of XINU Perfumes, which you can also visit nearby.
A restoration of one’s energy and balance can be done inside the wellness area. Facials and classic massages are featured in the double treatment cabin, which is soundproofed and separated from the house to ensure privacy. Relaxation, purity, and rest are assured during and after this luxurious encounter.
As some routines must continue, the gym equipment contains state-of-the-art technology for you to meet your objectives during your visit. If you desire complementary help, a personal trainer, Pilates, or yoga instructors can be hired in advance to continue your program in the best possible way.
Setting the mood back to the 1940s architecture, the library is a place where you can lose yourself in quiet corners, with no distractions, and a view to Lincoln Park itself. Decorated with pieces that are part of the private art collection and the bespoke art by Ricardo Mazal. Adding the signature touch of immersing into the exclusive assortment of books, evoking peace with every page.
