Located on the Hamilton Straight, the Hilton Garden Inn is Silverstone’s first and only trackside hotel. Its sleek exterior exhibits the exhilaration of being trackside, with rows of glass windows and geometric décor. To see all the behind-the-scenes action, the Hilton Garden Inn is also conveniently placed opposite the teams’ garages.
An immersive trackside experience at the Hilton Silverstone
While it offers several enticing features, Silverstone’s Hilton Garden Inn being trackside delivers guests an immersive experience for race events such as the upcoming Formula 1 British Grand Prix and British MotoGP. During racing events, the 75 rooms which face the track will be transformed into hospitality suites. Even when it isn’t a race day, there may be something happening like on the day we went, the Red Bull team were casually testing their new car!
Although, the view isn’t the only perk to being trackside. The interior of the rooms is also designed to reflect the motorsport world, with racing-themed artwork reflecting its rich history and culture. Rooms are finished with metal mesh panels and stitched upholstery.
The Hilton Garden Inn has 197 rooms in total, almost all offering a spectacular view of the track and races, some even having balcony views. 66 of the 90 rooms with a track view also offer a balcony, for the best view possible. Rooms are equipped with necessities as well, including free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, air conditioning and a drinks fridge.
Silverstone inspired drinks and dining
Other of the hotel’s features include The Rooftop bar and BOX bar and kitchen. The Rooftop provides a full 360 view of the Silverstone Heritage Track, featuring local Silverstone Distillery gin and vodka, as well as a wine selection.
With both indoor and outdoor viewing spaces, the BOX, too, delivers the ideal trackside experience, open throughout the day. Its vibrant energy offers just the right mood for an exhilarating race. Reviews rave about high-quality food and service, even for families.
The Formula 1 British Grand Prix
As the Formula 1 British Grand Prix race weekend approaches in early July, booking a stay at Hilton Garden Inn can provide an unforgettable experience. The British race was first held in 1948 and hosted by the Royal Automobile Club. During that first race, 100,000 people came for viewing.
Each decade has brought something new to the race, and it’s grown and evolved over time. In 1950, King George VI entered the viewing crowd. This was the one and only time a reigning monarch has attended a British motor race. Later in 1991, refurbishments were made to the Grand Prix, including a new stadium area and an expansion to include new sweeping curves.
With so much rich history and global recognition, the Formula 1 British Grand Prix is one of the most celebrated motorsport events. As its 2024 dates are nearing, it’s an ideal time to take advantage of a spot which offers a one-of-a-kind immersive experience to the event.

Local attractions and ideal location
Silverstone’s Hilton Garden Inn is conveniently located not only beside the track but also nearby other local attractions, adding to its historical and cultural appeal. The Silverstone Interactive Museum, award-winning Silverstone Distillery and Silverstone Golf Club are all within the area of the hotel.
The museum offers immersive shows, technical exhibits and replica vintage race cars, only a 5-minute walk from the hotel. For the adult experience, Silverstone Distillery is also close by, with its own experiences such as the Gin Academy, delving into the history and production of gin.
With adventures that range from dining and drinks to history and culture, Silverstone’s Hilton Garden Inn sits within a hub of immersive experience. Its view is unbeatable, and an ideal spot to enjoy the coming motorsport races, especially the Formula 1 British Grand Prix.
