The Beefeater Crown Jewel that was once available over 10 years ago and limited-edition, is now the pinnacle of the House of Beefeater. The new Beefeater Crown Jewel has an intrepidly heightened 50% ABV which exemplifies the 10 botanicals that have been distilled to create this reimagined gin. This level of strength in the gin also beautifully captures the additional citrusy notes from the grapefruit peel which adds to Beefeater’s iconic nine botanical recipe. This crafted blend of botanicals leaves you with tastes full of fresh grapefruit-led citrus, to start with, to a kick of juniper and warm spices and liquorice to finish. This gin, a bartender favourite (it’s no surprise they’ve been asking for this much-loved spirit to make a return) is developed and full rounded, ready to be enjoyed mixed or neat to tantalise your palate. This is a GREAT martini gin.
Apart from the dazzling tastes of the Crown Jewel Gin, the design of the bottle is what really embodies London and the Crown Jewels, with inspirations drawn from the cuts of the historic Crown Jewels. The deep red colour pays tribute to the late Queen and her love of rubies, which is also one of the most famous jewels of the Crown Jewels. The rectangular shape of the bottle symbolises the renowned brick-design, and to anyone who is familiar with Beefeater, would know that this is something Beefeater is well-known for.
The Beefeater Crown Jewel Gin also celebrates London Dry Gin’s withstanding presence and special relationship with the Yeomen Waders who are famous for protecting the Crown Jewels at The Tower of London. This alliance was established from the establishment of the Beefeater Brand in the 19th Century.
The Crown Jewel Launch
Beefeater hosted an exclusive launch for The Beefeater Crown Jewel Gin at The Tower of London. Hosted by Beefeater’s Master Distiller and Honorary Yeoman Warder Desmond Payne MBE, the evening was full of enjoyment with an intimate viewing of the Crown Jewels, learning about the inspiration behind the Crown Jewel Gin, followed by a three-course banquet. Guests were also treated to martini cocktails created by exemplary mixologist Ryan Chetiyawardana and Alessandro Palazzi from Dukes.
