Secret Cinema is transforming Grease into something bigger, bolder, and more immersive than ever. From 1 August to 7 September 2025, Grease: The Immersive Movie Musical invites us to experience Rydell High in a way we never have before—through a full-scale, 360º theatrical world in London where the line between cinema and reality disappears entirely.
Hosted at the roomy Evolution London in Battersea Park, this strictly limited six-week run promises a cultural highlight for the summer, bringing together dance, film, theatre, music and design in one high-energy tribute to one of the most iconic movie musicals of all time.
Step into the world of Grease
Secret Cinema, in partnership with TodayTix, lifts the curtain on this new immersive format where you don’t just watch the film—they live it. TodayTix has done a lot for theatre in London, bringing the best shows at really accessible prices. From the moment you walk through the gates of Rydell High, you’re transported into a fully realized 1950s world: the music is playing, poodle skirts are swishing, and you’re already part of the story. A cast of 30 performers—playing everyone from Sandy and Danny to the Pink Ladies, T-Birds, teachers and cheerleaders—interact with you throughout the evening, improvising scenes, inviting you into group dances, handing out notes in class, and even pulling you into detention if you’re in character.
You can follow different characters’ storylines, get your yearbook photo taken, or wander into spaces like The Frosty Palace diner, where themed snacks, milkshakes, and jukebox hits flow all night. At La Cafury Beauty School, guests can get made-over with 50s flair, while the gymnasium becomes a hand-jiving hotspot. There are dance-offs, mini talent shows, carnival games, fairground rides, and plenty of moments to sing along to Greased Lightnin’, Summer Nights, and You’re the One That I Want.

A cinematic playground of iconic locations
Set Designer Tom Rogers has recreated a sprawling, multi-zone Rydell High campus inside Evolution London with intricate attention to detail where you can:
- Sip milkshakes at The Frosty Palace
- Learn to hand jive at The Gym
- Get glammed up at La Cafury Beauty School
- Visit The Auto Shop, the scene of mechanical mayhem and grease-stained romance
- End the night at The Carnival, complete with a full-scale funfair
The attention to detail is extraordinary—each environment is designed to immerse guests in 1950s Americana with the polish and ambition Secret Cinema is famous for.
Choreography with a twist
Movement is at the heart of this production, and Jennifer Weber—nominated for Best Choreography at the Tony Awards for both & Juliet and KPOP—leads the creative charge. Known for blending hip-hop with theatre, Weber fuses Grease’s iconic moves with a fresh, contemporary edge. Think pink jackets and ponytails, but with an energy and modernity that appeals to 2025 audiences.
Join the cast: three ticket types, one shared stage
This is the first Secret Cinema show to feature a new tiered ticketing system, offering something for every level of fan:
- General Admission (from £49): Free-roam access across the event
- VIP Seated (from £79): Includes access to a designated seat for guests who want to roam and return
- Premium Immersive (from £149): Includes pre-event choreography, on-site interaction, and a chance to join the cast during the live performance

Cast & creative talent
The show features a vibrant cast with Stephanie Costi as Sandy, Liam Buckland as Kenickie, and Lucy Penrose as Rizzo, among others. The cast is a cream of the cream West End cast with talent running throughout so expect awesomeness especially on the dancing front. Behind the scenes is a seasoned West End and Broadway creative team. Together, they’ve created a version of Grease that’s equal parts homage and reinvention—nostalgic, but never dated.
Secret Cinema’s new era begins
This production marks the first of three consecutive summers that Secret Cinema will host major immersive events at Evolution London. The venue’s central location, expansive layout and easy access make it the perfect playground for large-scale experiences. Titles for the 2026 and 2027 productions are yet to be announced, but expectations are high.
For now, Grease sets the tone—and it’s loud, vibrant, and full of heart.
