This winter, discover the art of cocktail Omakase at Kwãnt Mayfair, the award-winning cocktail bar by Erik Lorincz. Kwãnt is elevating its already impressive offerings with a great new activation. Hand-in-hand with the iconic Japanese whisky brand Nikka, Kwãnt unveiled an intimate cocktail Omakase experience only until 31 March 2025.

A Fusion of Tradition and Innovation
Nikka is the maker of the iconic Nikka from the Barrel blended whisky founded in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru, affectionately known as “The Father of Japanese Whisky.” As part of its recent celebration of 90 years of excellence, Nikka Whisky held a series of events and activations, upholding its legacy with bold innovations and a steadfast dedication to quality.
Kwãnt phonetically comes from ‘quaint’, meaning clever and wise, and Erik Lorincz further describes the word as “cleverly using ingredients and wisely enjoying cocktails.” Nikka and Kwãnt have joined forces to create the new and exclusive Omakase experience, a culinary journey entrusted to the expertise of Erik, former head bartender at The Savoy Hotel. Erik’s love for fine dining and extensive travels in Japan inspired this unique dining concept.
Kwãnt is an inviting room blending the art of Feng shui, design and masterful mixology to create one of London’s finest bars. There is a real sense of theatre, energy and luxury when entering the bar which is so centrally located in London. Featuring Polynesian tapa art, the open bar counter has an inviting feel.

The Art of Omakase
Inspired by the Japanese tradition of Omakase, Lorincz offers an experience of Japanese elegance and expertise. This reservation-only event takes place exclusively at Kwãnt’s bespoke six-seat bar counter. The journey features five expertly crafted mini cocktails, each highlighting the distinctive qualities of Nikka’s spirits. The Omakase menu by Nikka and Kwãnt also includes snacks.
Chef Joni Ketonen, former chef at The Fat Duck and St. John, expertly crafted bite-sized food pairings to enhance these unique beverages.

This Omakase is as flavourful as it is eye-catching and is designed to engage all senses. Each cocktail is served in exquisite Japanese glassware created by Kimura, to enhance your overall sensory experience.

Amuse Bouche:
- Miso: clarified miso, shiitake, seaweed, and chive oil.
Cocktails:
- Urchin: Nikka Coffey Gin, sea urchin, key sake, season light, chive oil
- Tomato: Nikka Taketsuru single malt, tomato, pickled brine, seed lip garden
- Apple & Mango: Nikka Coffey Vodka, fino sherry, KAY sake, green apple, mango, verjuice
- Beetroot: Nikka Miyagikio single malt, miso, beetroot, maple verjuice, season dark, aged sake
- Oolong: Nikka Yoichi single malt, oolong, wasanbon, soy merengue, pollen

Experience the Art of Japanese Whisky Mixology
The Omakase experience is available by reservation only, from Thursday to Saturday. With just one sitting per night, it will take place each evening at 6pm priced at £80 per person. Bookings for the experience are to be made online via kwantmayfair@icloud.com
