No. 5 Cavendish Place now plays host to Moyagi’s third opening (and its first international one), where the authentic and intimate atmosphere of Tokyo’s late-night karaoke scene is brought to life in Moyagi, London.
Established in Sweden in 2019, the internationally acclaimed private karaoke concept boasts a world-class experience, with delicious cocktails and a cool, seductive aesthetic to boot. If you’re looking for somewhere unique to elevate your night, look no further!

Step into Style, Drink in Hand
Moyagi seamlessly blends the elegance of a traditional cocktail bar with the high-energy vibes of a boutique club. Stepping into the venue, you are struck immediately by the chic and playful interiors, complete with leopard-print carpet and cherry red walls.
The drinks menu is experimental without being overwhelming, featuring traditional Japanese flavours such as Shochu and Yuzu, and modern twists on classic tastes. The menu also includes seasonal cocktails and Japanese Sake, taking you to the heart of Japan. Additionally, if you’re looking to stay off the booze, fruity mocktails are on the list with everything made to order in their intimate lounge bar – which also hosts DJs on weekends.
Highlights for me were the Yuzushu Margarita alongside Yusa’s Daquiri, both blending timeless classic cocktails with new flavours and techniques.

Sing Your Heart Out
But the main event has not even started yet! Moyagi has eight private karaoke rooms of various sizes, complete with VIP bottle service and in-room drinks ordering technology, allowing you to choose your cocktail without tearing yourself away from releasing your inner Cher.
The karaoke tech is seamless, with over 150,000 classic, contemporary and international songs (absolutely no barriers on language!) on demand and a top-of-the-line audio system, all operated from an iPad-like device next to the screen.

Each song has several versions so you can rap Bad Bunny in Spanish or boogie to Carly Rae Jepsen in French, with the option to queue your favourite tracks, so the transitions are flawless. Or you can even choose from one of their curated playlists if you’re overwhelmed on the choice.
Drawers are also available under the seats to store your belongings, and we were even provided bright-coloured wigs to accentuate the disco vibe of our party. Because who doesn’t want to sing karaoke dressed like a member of ABBA?

Prices aren’t over the top as well for an experience in Central London – at £20 per person (the price goes up to £28pp on weekends) for 1h 45 minutes of karaoke, this is a great venue to celebrate with friends no matter the occasion.
All in all, Moyagi is a welcome and unique addition to London’s social and entertainment scene – it feels exclusive, modern, and intimate, combining your private living room with the vibrancy of a public venue. So, strap on your dancing shoes and warm up your vocal chords – it’s karaoke time!
