You’ve just landed in the Maldives, and a sleek speedboat is ready to take you to OZEN Life Maadhoo – a friendly resort with a great team led by Elisabeth Alleyne, perfect for an ideal holiday.
OZEN Life Maadhoo’s warm welcome starts at the airport with its personal luxurious lounge, serving refreshments while waiting for the speedboat. Once you reach the island, everyone will extend a heartfelt Maldivian greeting – complete with a conch shell ceremony, a palm-leaf necklace and the rhythmic beats of traditional bodu beru drumming. This is just the start of the resort’s all-inclusive Indulgence Plan.

We know that comprehensive, all-inclusive packages are making a strong comeback, with ABTA reporting a 20% rise in bookings and 56% of travellers planning to choose all-inclusives in 2025. OZEN Life Maadhoo not only meets these expectations but exceeds them with its Indulgence Plan. The plan offers complimentary dining experiences, free spa treatments every four days of your stay, as well as island and snorkelling excursions among other water activities with resident marine biologists and experts. And guess what? There is an impressive selection of soaring spirits, gin, champagne and 100+ wine labels at every meal to sip on all day long. All of this comes at no extra charge to your bill!

The Villas
Inspired by nature’s elements, each villa was meticulously designed with luxurious features while blending with its surroundings. Infused with warm earthy tones and fresh hues to recreate the balmy island vibe, OZEN Life Maadhoo’s earth villas sit right by your personal private beach. These villas boast high-slanted ceilings, private outdoor decks amid tropical foliage and spacious bathrooms with handcrafted tubs and monsoon showers. The view is simply astounding. For an upgrade, choose the Earth Villa with a pool or, for larger groups, the Earth Pool Pavilion, which accommodates up to six people compared to the three-person capacity of the former villas.

Curving alongside the mesmeric lagoon and nestled in a more secluded setting, the overwater Wind Villas are incredibly romantic. Dreamy and warm, they stand above the Indian Ocean and feature free-standing elliptical bathtubs and uninterrupted horizon views. The best part? There’s a small glass floor offering a glimpse into the vibrant aquatic life below. Similar to the Earth Villa, you can opt to upgrade to a Wind Villa with a private pool. Regardless of your choice, each villa accommodates up to three people and provides private access to the lagoon.

But if you’re travelling with a larger group, you should definitely go for The Ozen Residence with a space welcoming up to eight people. As the most lavish accommodation, the comfort and service there are top-notch, including exclusive features like a private kitchenette, overwater dining pavilion and a personalised butler service. You’ll even have a private gym, complimentary laundry service and more.

All-inclusive Gastronomy
OZEN Life Maadhoo has all types of restaurants and cuisines, but M6M – Minus Six Meters should undoubtedly be your first stop. The restaurant literally takes you underwater, where you can watch marine life and fish swimming gracefully as you dine. Their seafood menu takes centre stage, with highlights like Pan-Seared Bay Scallops, Home-Cured Scottish Salmon Cannelloni, Miso-Glazed Fish and Baked Lobster. However, they do have meat and vegetarian menus as well, so even if you don’t like seafood, the experience is unmissable.
The Palms is the hotel’s all-day dining spot, and the buffet is stunning for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can also find local and international options, including a Maldivian breakfast with coconut and tuna. There are also fresh fruits, gourmet cheese platters and a live cooking station at all mealtimes.
You can’t visit the Maldives without savouring its authentic flavours at Lonu. Inspired by the Dhivehi word for ‘salt,’ Lonu masterfully combines traditional Maldivian cuisine with an inventive, modern twist. Highlights include Tuna Carpaccio, Pandan Mustard Potato Salad, Duo Fish Citrus Salad, Fish Ceviche and Mas Bai—a fragrant Maldivian speciality of spice-infused rice cooked with fish. Lonu is a set menu and opens for lunch only, so be sure to book ahead.
Another restaurant at OZEN Life Maadhoo is Tradition Indoceylon, which blends both Indian and Sri Lankan cuisines—two vibrant Indian Ocean locales on the serene shores of the Maldives. The menu is focused and absolutely delicious. Dishes can be made to your spice liking, and the masala chai is one of the very best in The Maldives. The dessert platter offers a little bit of everything and is great for sharing. On the other side of the same restaurant, the Tradition Peking offers authentic Chinese flavours. Our favourite was a salt and chilli tossed crab– simple and very authentic. Both restaurants also feature Moët & Chandon included in the restaurant experience.

By the beach, the social hub of the resort is Joie de Vivre. Embodying the spirit of its name, this vibrant pool bar has a zest for life, boasting the best sunset views in the South Malé Atoll. From 9am to 1am, savour international cocktails and delectable bites, snacks and light meals. The team can mix any cocktail you like, and the selection of spirits is vast, with many quality brands included.
If you’re not a gin lover, you’ll surely leave OZEN Life Maadhoo becoming one after a visit to Gin Is In, a speciality bar featuring over 18 rare gin brands—from herbaceous to exotic. The expert mixologists here craft amazing cocktails, such as the refreshing Tropical Fizz with gin, apple cider, apple juice and lime, or the Elder Collins—a blend of Plymouth gin, elderflower cordial and fizzy water, garnished with a lime wheel. For something more distinctive, try the Earl of Grey, combining London dry gin, Earl Grey sparkling tea liqueur and Grand Marnier, finished with a kumquat wedge garnish.

The wine programme is truly special and tells a story too. There are 101 wine labels available across all its restaurants, with wines from across the world. The resorts also run regular Champagne and Wine Masterclass events where guests can enjoy wonderful evenings of wine tasting and delicious food, hosted by the producers in person. Artisanal wine growers for four generations, the Guy Charbaut family produces Champagnes exclusively for OZEN. The rosé was our favourite, and it can be enjoyed all day. Intense red fruit notes (raspberry and fresh strawberry), as well as touches of citrus-like pink grapefruit and a gorgeous, deep, almost blood-orange colour. The Champagne Guy Charbaut Selection Brut and Guy Charbaut Rose Brut – Premier Cru were better than big-branded Champagne houses and had a great story behind them, too.
Activities
You’ll experience the best massages at the overwater spa, ELE|NA. The exclusive OceanFlow Therapy is an innovative fusion of various modalities, from Watsu to Water Dance. Another signature treatment is their Flow Facial Ritual: enjoy a foot ritual, face consultation and acupressure massage with a magnetic pen and copper spoon for deep calm and refreshment. Another relaxing experience is the soothing Ayurvedic Shirodhara treatment, where warm oil flows onto your third eye to melt away stress, tension and insomnia.
The spa provides a range of luxurious treatments, including rejuvenating massages, invigorating scrubs and soothing sun therapies, all designed to relax and revitalise guests. Additional amenities include a fully equipped gymnasium overlooking the Indian Ocean, a therapeutic salt pool, steam sauna facilities, a salon and a boutique. Guests can also participate in mindfulness activities, such as guided meditation sessions and beachside yoga, enhancing their overall wellness experience.
To stay active, guests can use the tennis court and gym overlooking the stunning lagoon views. You can even opt for personalised training sessions or join daily group classes like Zumba, strength training, beach runs, aqua aerobics and open-air yoga.

OZEN Life Maadhoo offers an exciting range of aquatic experiences. Explore the vibrant marine life with PADI-certified dives or enjoy daily snorkelling excursions to nearby sites. The snorkelling excursions happen twice a day, and they are INCLUDED with your stay. Snorkelling with the resident marine biologists make this experience extra special, especially when they dive into the water to point out hidden sea life.
For water sports enthusiasts, motorised and non-motorised, there are thrilling jet ski rides, stand-up paddle boarding, water skiing and banana boat adventures. If you’d prefer a more relaxed experience, take a semi-submarine ride on SUB-ZEN – snorkelling is an option, and you can admire Maadhoo Island’s house reef from just a meter below the surface. Around the golden hour, drop whatever you’re doing and take a cruise to watch the Maldives’ sun sinking below. In fact, you can even try your hand at fishing during sunset, an activity that is also included, and later enjoy a delicious meal of your own catch!
