This is surely the future of vibe dining in London.
Home to a bar, restaurant, and an immersive 12-seat dining room, it encapsulates the essence of an elevated dining experience, whilst serving up a fusion of Peruvian and Japanese cuisine. It is the new addition to Strongarm Hospitality’s portfolio, which includes The London REIGN, TABŪ London, YŪKI, and TABŪ Mykonos.
The Venue, Décor, & Interiors
There are numerous opportunities to indulge in the restaurant’s elevated dining concept within the walls of the show-stopping space. Merging chic contemporary designs and avant-garde touches in the design of the restaurant World-class hospitality consultants have transformed this once-neglected venue into an architecturally daring restaurant open for lunch and dinner. The breathtaking venue is not only the hotspot for great food, it is simultaneously the spot for partying, with DJs on deck to entertain until 1 a.m.
There is also the opportunity to experience a private dining room that can host up to 12 guests, which is enclosed by one-way windows, giving both privacy and views overlooking the main restaurant.

PIRAÑA has also invested in luxurious and eye-catching design elements in their decor and has masterfully created a space that pulls people into it like a magnet. Covered in strobe lights and interesting light fixtures, they rely on the blend of colours flashing from the ceiling to carry the vibe throughout the venue. The walls are adorned by sensory delights like a wall of white piranhas throughout, blue light-up tables, trees, and real piranhas in the loos.
The interior has been designed to be both immersive and engaging, ensuring that every corner of PIRAÑA offers something intriguing. From the dynamic lighting that changes throughout the evening to the eclectic mix of textures and materials, the restaurant creates an atmosphere that is both sophisticated and playful. The Cuisine at PIRAÑA London
This is highly authentic Nikkei cuisine with some great talent in the kitchen. The Peruvian & Japanese fusion works with star dishes like Butter Roasted Chilean Sea Bass, with Coriander Shizo Ponzu and Lamb Chops Anticucho with Aubergine Puree, Aji and Amarillo Yoghurt.

The menu consists of various ceviches, premium sushi, Kushiaki skewers, and an indulgent Caviar and Belvedere Bump Experience. The menu takes you through a journey of under-the-sea flavours, starting with salads and small dishes, all the way to premium sushi, Kushiaki skewers, and Wagyu beef.

Wagyu and more
At PIRAÑA, the culinary journey is a vibrant fusion of worldly flavours. The grilled poussin is a standout, combining tender chicken with a unique blend of spices that reflect the restaurant’s Nikkei roots. Sushi rolls like the Wagyu Foie Gras Nigiri, marries the richness of foie gras with the freshness of premium sushi. Ordering the Wagyu beef or a Tomahawk adds a touch of drama to your meal, as it’s accompanied by an impressive light show, making the experience as memorable as the dish itself.
When it comes to desserts, PIRAÑA has a wicked Peruvian Chocolate Mousse, with its rich, velvety texture. The Matcha Fondant, paired with White Chocolate and Coconut Sorbet, offers a perfect balance of earthy and sweet flavours. These desserts are crafted to leave a lasting impression, ensuring your meal ends on a high note with a creative twist on classic flavours.

Cocktails & More
Each dish on the menu is paired with a well-curated wine and champagne list offering both old and new world references that can be found in their extravagant wine cellar. There is also a strong cocktail list, featuring a dedicated espresso martini menu which includes the GOUTÉ, with Nutella and Bailey’s, the Tiramisu, with Freshly Brewed Espresso & Fresh Mascarpone, and the Luxury, garnished with Golden Coffee Beans & Gold Flakes.

Overall
That clubby feel with a sense of fun and playfulness is arguably easier to create but ensuring this high level of cooking that is consistently delivered is not easy. If the cooking keeps going the way it is going, they will be winning the hearts and minds of London foodies as well as those looking for a vibey night out. This is what makes PIRAÑA unique and a welcome addition to Mayfair.
