Ascot Racecourse announced the Chefs in Residence for the Royal Ascot 2024. With eight Michelin-rated chefs, the event will showcase and celebrate innovative and delectable creations. Royal Ascot 2024 promises to deliver a dining experience that mirrors the elegance and grandeur of the races from 18-22 June 2024.

State-of-the-art Royal Ascot debuts
The procession of Royal Ascot chefs starts with Lisa Goodwill-Allen and Tom Shepherd, who will be making new appearances for this year’s event. Lisa’s current position is serving as Northcote Restaurant’s executive chef in Lancashire, a Micheline-starred establishment. She will serve a four-course luncheon featuring local seasonal ingredients, accompanied by fine wine selections.
Lisa will headline ON 5, an elegant restaurant on the fifth floor with a spacious trackside view. ON 5 also exhibits an innovative interior, with horse racing-based artistry. The menu will provide a four-course luncheon, with a choice of starter, main and dessert followed by cheese.

Micheline-starred chef Tom Shepherd will also make his debut, at The Sandringham restaurant. Nestled inside the Lavender Courtyard, the space is only a short walk to the Royal Enclosure Gardens. Tom plans to serve a curated four-course meal and his focus is a seasonally-driven menu, inspired by his surroundings.
Remarkable returns with luxurious offerings
Tom Barnes will return, making his third solo chef appearance at the Royal Ascot. He is the former executive chef at Michelin-starred L’Enclume and Rogan & Co. in Cumbria. At the Old Press Room, he’ll be presenting a tasting menu, including six courses accompanied by fine wines. At the establishment, private tables will seat up to 10 people, with an incredible view of the Royal Procession.

Another chef who will make his third-year appearance at this year’s Royal Ascot is the brilliant Tom Booton. The Grill by Tom Booton is daringly driving destination dining forward into a new-found era of innovation. It is the first time in 92 years, that the Dorchester has named their restaurant after their executive chef. Look out for his delicious soft serve as well as a full menu at Royal Ascot 2024.
Expertise at the finest level
Making his sixth appearance, Simon Rogan will deliver expertise at the finest level offering local produce at the Parade Ring restaurant. The restaurant offers private trackside viewing, with a menu that will provide a five-course à la carte luncheon. Stationed in the ultimate position, the restaurant allows guests to assess the Paradise Ring and trophy presentation.
Raymond Blanc OBE has been part of the Royal Ascot Chefs line up for some time and will make a returning appearance at Panoramic Restaurant, at the Royal Enclosure. This will be his ninth year, and he’ll offer a five-course tailored luncheon, a most intimate Chef Residence experience of the highest end.
James Tanner is the Chef Patron at The Kentish Hare, and will return to the Royal Ascot as chef at The Deck along with his brother, Chris Tanner. This is the Royal Ascot’s newest restaurant, featuring a private balcony view. The offering will consist of a three-course set menu, featuring modern summer classics.

Completing the Royal Ascot Chefs lineup is Battersea’s Cake Boy, Eric Lanlard, who will return to offer a Royal Ascot afternoon tea. His expertise falls in desserts, cakes, and afternoon tea treats, and he’s established an international reputation for his beautiful creations which are edible works of art. What Eric can do with pastry is magical so expect the best afternoon tea Ascot has ever seen.
