What is a Máak Bacab?

What can you expect?
As Máak Bacab, Julio Cesar Morales will host ceremonies at the resort to educate guests on respect for nature and further connect them with The Universe. Since he was a boy, Julio’s family guided him through this healing path. He then intensively studied the practice of Temazcal, massage techniques and cosmetology.
Upon arrival, guests will be given a traditional Mayan blessing which dispels the negative and introduces positive energy, helping to release you from your worries and bring you into a new and relaxed state at the resort.
Máak Bacab will host Temazcal at the resort, a typical Mayan ritual that uses hot stones alongside medicinal herbs to help purify one’s soul. He focuses his practices on the benefits of rosemary and rue, which both help to remove bad vibes. Rosemary also works as an anti-inflammatory and the rue as a pain killer. The energetic combination of both herbs enables Julio to perform the traditional “limpia” that will help to purify physical, mental, and spiritual health.
For couples visiting the resort, the Máak Bacab also performs a Mayan Kamnikte ceremony that renews love and teaches good wishes in abundance.
