The Pine Bar, which is located within the Biltmore Mayfair Hotel, launched their new cocktail menu called Wanderlust, which takes inspiration from international travels. Indulge yourself in a fully immersive experience of worldwide spirits and artisanal flavours. The Pine Bar is somewhere you can keep going back over and over as their menu will change on a regular basis with research and development for future menus taking place throughout the year.
The Wanderlust Menu
The Wanderlust menu has a selection of cocktails infused with the finest spirits with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. With a multitude of creations reminiscent of the countries the cocktails take inspiration from, highlights to look out for on the menu include:
- Hidden Treasure – a recollection of the flavours of Turkey with some surprises too
- Symphony of the Forest – moved by the native pine forests of Washington State
- Exuberance – presents the vibrancy of the Caribbean
- Pacific Wheel – showcases the feel of California with an essence of the fairground wheel of Santa Monica
- The Flamboyant – inspired by the enigmatic energy of Las Vegas
- Opulence – encompasses the golden decadence of Arabia.
The Wanderlust menu has been designed by illustrator Dan Collins who is well-known for his bar art, with twelve bespoke illustrations – The Londoner cocktail has been picturised with well-known London landmarks, Trafalgar Square, Big Ben and the Tower of London Skyline. This really encapsulates the essence of London both visually and within the cocktail. The menu can even be purchased at the bar as a keepsake. So much brilliant attention to detail.
You can also pair the Wanderlust cocktails with snacks. Nerijus and the team can guide you on pairing but our favourite snack was a Chilli Dog in a gorgeous brioche bun, Sauerkraut, beef ox cheek, Monterey Jack cheese, Jalapeno, Sweet mustard mayonnaise, pickled dill & chives. The confit lamb shoulder with homous was also delicious with cubes of lamb shoulder, lamb sauce, hummus, textures of fennel, pomegranate, mint and chickpeas.
The Inspiration
Full of personal inspirations the dynamic Wanderlust menu was created from the travels of a team of talented mixologists – The Pine Bar manager Nerijus Zakarevicius, Assistant Bar Manager Giorgio Trimboli and Head Bartender Alessandro Vescovi. Along with their personalisation, the menu also includes a collaboration with internationally revered luxury spirit houses, from The House of Suntory, Tequila OCHO, Seedlip, Johnnie Walker, Tanqueray No Ten and more. This culmination pushes the boundaries of mixology with carefully created cocktails that are now included within the Wanderlust menu.
Nerijus said: ‘We have crafted a collection of cocktails that don’t just surprise and delight but take you on a journey – where every sip is a sensory adventure – fusing the local with the exotic.’
