A true urban oasis, The Yards sits in the heart of Covent Garden, made up of a series of interconnecting courtyards and streets that feature London’s top dining spots, fashion brands, and world-renowned lifestyle shops. It feels like a true romantic hideaway and a secluded spot away from the hustle and bustle of London life.

At The Yards, there’s always something happening, from exclusive offers to special events across its restaurants and stores. Stay up-to-date with what’s on by checking their website so you plan ahead. In fact, they’ve recently expanded into Neal Street with some new brands and stores like Nobody’s Child, Space NK, and Dr.Martens in the heart of Covent Garden.
Eating & Drinking
With all the restaurants situated next to one another, The Yards is every foodie’s dream come true—from Italian cuisine to Mexican feasts and top Asian offerings, every restaurant has a special personality and spirit—and, of course, delicious dishes. Whether you’re looking for a casual bite or a fancy dinner, you’ll find something. Here are some of the highlights available:

Dishoom
When visiting, we particularly recommend stopping by Dishoom to try their exciting new menu—their biggest change since opening in 2010. Founders Shamil and Kavi Thakrar, along with Executive Chef Arun Tilak, dedicated months to curating the dishes. They even travelled to Bombay, sampling over 650 dishes to ensure the best quality. From small plates to rolls, salads, as well as grills and curries, they have it all. Among the standout dishes is Goan Monkfish Curry, featuring tender monkfish chunks in a hot and sour sauce that distinguishes itself from the original Dishoom signatures, Chicken Ruby and Black Daal. Best paired with a refreshing green chutney, the new Fish Amritsari comes crispy and slightly spicy—a must try.
While they kept some beloved classics, but with some improvements, like the Up-to-Date Pau Bhaji, the drinks menu is entirely revamped, showcasing 23 new creations inspired by Bombay’s rich history. Highlights include the Bombay Bellini, a mix of sparkling wine with mango and guava syrup, and the Dhoble—a discreet cocktail combining fresh orange and lemon juices, vodka, jaggery, and a dash of orange bitters, served over ice.

UKIYO
Another new hot spot in The Yards is UKIYO, an ultra-minimal, walk-in, sit-at-the-counter Japanese eatery that embodies the urban lifestyle of the Edo period (1600–1867). Centred around the concept of “living in the moment,” the menu specialises in Japanese hand rolls. While you can order them individually, UKIYO has curated three different sets that they believe pair well together. For example, one set includes four rolls: Salmon Avocado Crisp, Unagi, Spicy Tuna, and Yellowtail. Alternatively, you can opt for the tasting menu, which features two rolls alongside starters, Nigiris, Sashimis, and a cut roll. To keep it minimalistic, they have one dessert—Matcha Choco Fondant.
You should also pair your food with one of their Japanese whiskies or cocktails such as Japanese Negroni, mixing Gin, Cherry, Cocchi Torino, and Campari.

Lahpet
One of London’s only restaurants specialising in authentic Burmese cooking, you must visit Lahpet. Founded by Dan and Head Chef Zaw—both of Burmese heritage—the menu showcases staple dishes refined with a contemporary touch. Surprisingly, the menu is divided by the size and shape of the plate—small plates, large plates, and bowls. Notable options include the Fritters small plate with Shan Tofu, split peas, sweet corn, and shallots; the Braised Mutton Curry large plate with cumin, tamarind, and daikon pickle; and the Rakhine Mohinga fish noodle soup

Rucola at The Conduit
This Italian-inspired restaurant is a must-visit for foodies who care about sustainability and fresh, seasonal ingredients. With a menu featuring Northern-Italian dishes, you’ll enjoy them with stunning panoramic views of London’s skyline, surrounded by lush greenery all around. Open Monday through Saturday, you can have an after-work aperitivo, a late-night dinner, or even a weekend brunch.

Café Pacifico
For a hearty Mexican feast, head to Café Pacifico with your friends or family and enjoy the lively atmosphere they have with MANY rounds of cocktails.

Le Bab
Fusing Middle Eastern cuisine with contemporary culinary techniques, this modern kebab house will sure leave you well-sated.

Gura Gura
A modern Asian fusion restaurant, you’ll enjoy small plates, dim sum, and sushi paired with wine or signature drinks—best shared with a loved one.

Badiani
A must-try while you stroll around, Badiani’s rich and creamy Italian gelato is simply heavenly. They also have hot chocolate and other sweet treats.
Buns from Home
You’ll definitely crave passing by this bakery after smelling their freshly baked cinnamon buns out of the oven! Just grab one on the go.
FairShot Café
For a feel-good treat, head to FairShot Cafè. Enjoy a cosy environment with hot drinks and pastries, all while supporting an inclusive café that provides training opportunities for people with special learning needs.
Bars
While almost all the restaurants at The Yards feature bars with top-notch drinks, some stand out with their selections. With a spacious courtyard and a lavish Champagne Bar, 28°-50° Wine Bar and Kitchen should be one of your go-to spots—their in-house sommelier ensures your wine selection will hit just the right note. Pair your drink with seasonal French and European dishes for a complete experience. Chic and relaxed, Dalla Terra Wine Bar offers over 600 expertly curated wines from Italy and beyond, best enjoyed with bruschetta and antipasti from their express menu. Other fantastic drink lists can be found at Le Bab, Temper, Café Pacifico , and Hawksmoor.
Shopping
However, we recommend saving your feasting after your shopping spree—you don’t want to be walking around with a full stomach! The Yards is home to a diverse array of shops that cater to every taste. From high-end fashion boutiques like Reiss and & Other Stories to trendy fitness gear at Lululemon and Runners Need, you’ll definitely need some extra hands carrying all these shopping bags. Don’t miss the chic collections at Barbour and Hobbs for stylish outerwear, or check out Levi Strauss for timeless denim. Other stores include Allbirds, a fantastic store for sustainable footwear, Cos, and Jack Wolfskin.

Other Activities
But it doesn’t stop there! The Yards also has a variety of activities to entertain everyone. If you like dancing, Pineapple Studios offers classes suitable for all levels—even if you’re just starting out. Art lovers can head to Clarendon Fine Art and Whitewall Galleries, where you can sip on a complimentary glass of bubbly while admiring their captivating art collections. For Christmas, the gallery transforms with festive decorations, featuring an exclusive collection of contemporary artworks and sculptures—don’t miss the opportunity and gift a loved one or even yourself a piece with the help of their art consultants.
