From the team behind Sucre comes a new cocktail bar, Alma London. Based in the heart of Soho, the bar will be led by Tony Pescatori in the subterranean space beneath the highly successful Argentinian restaurant from Fernando Trocca. The newest addition to Soho’s nightlife scene has a progressive drinks menu, sound tracked to the rhythms of disco, funk and soul in a luxurious, yet relaxed setting.
The concept
Alma is the home of craft cocktails, where forgotten ingredients inspire the team as they evolve their liquid art. Tony Pescatori’s cocktails tell a story of rediscovery. Tony is a rare gem in the London bar scene with his appreciation of marrying old and new with such meticulous detail. He is also a brand educator and travels the world showcasing his expertise. Alma London will feature his appreciation for forgotten flavours and ingredients that span the globe, from Yemeni Myrrh to Ming River Baijiu.

About Tony Pescatori
Tony joined the team at Shoreditch House in 2010 before moving to The Nightjar in 2012, where he gained recognition across London. Whilst developing some of the most ambitious cocktail menus at many influential party spots in London, he turned his passion for drink design into something more, venturing into creative content creation, as well as leading seminars, workshops and takeovers in over 30 countries. Now, he brings his expertise to Soho with Alma, celebrating forgotten traditions and lost crafts of bygone eras in the form of an eclectic cocktail list. “I’m thrilled to launch Alma, alongside a strong team of creative legends, mixing a variety of skill sets and driven by empathy, great vibes and a passion for the craft of drink-making,” says Tony.

What about the vibes?
Designed by Victoria Vogel, the Alma interiors pay homage to the 1970s with a playful elevation on the original brickwork and raw materials by accentuating original features dating back to the 18th century, whilst incorporating new materials including soft corduroys and velvets, set alongside bronze mirrors and mid-century style wooden veneers. Expect live music, DJs on the weekend and entertainment throughout the week.
And the food?
The bar will offer a sharing-style off-shoot menu of the dishes at Sucre upstairs. The bar snacks and small plates will include the likes of the signature cheese and onion empanadas, mini stone bass tostadas, pork belly sandwiches and much more.
