Aqua Nueva has launched its new terrace in partnership with Casamigos Tequila – transforming the al fresco space into a vibrant hideaway with commanding views over the rooftops of the capital.
The Space
Set in a dramatic space on the top floor of a former department store in the heart of London’s West End, Aqua Nueva offers diners the very best of traditional and modern Spanish cuisine with a captivating rooftop terrace and stunning bar.
The Aqua Nueva x Casamigos Tequila Terrace will feature tropical plants in bright and bold colours – from large-leafed green monstera to orange, magenta and blue blooms. The Casamigos Tequila bar, referencing whitewashed buildings across Mexico and Spain, will stand on one edge of the terrace, stocked with the award-winning brand’s range of tequila and mezcal; while a selection of curated sounds will bring the beachside vibes to the Regent Street rooftop.
The Food
Guests to the West End’s most desirable terrace will snack on plates showcasing the very best of traditional and modern Spanish regional cuisines and techniques – accompanied by a curated selection of cocktails created with Spanish flair and wines from across Europe and further afield.
Dishes available on the terrace menu will include starting snacks of smoked almonds and gordal olives, followed by the likes of sobrasada bocaditos with manchego and honey; gambas al ajillo; and crispy baby squid with squid ink mayonnaise; while Aqua Nueva’s lauded croquetas, served on a platter for guests to share, include ham, seafood, manchego and mushroom.
The Showstoppers
Cocktails putting Casamigos Tequila pours on a pedestal will include three kinds of Margarita: Tommy’s Margarita with Casamigos Reposado Tequila, Frozen Margarita with Casamigos Blanco Tequila, Cointreau, lime juice and agave nectar, or the Smokey Margarita with Casamigos Mezcal; A Dream Come Blue, pairing Blue Curacao with Casamigos Blanco Tequila and lime juice; the Melon Crush, with Casamigos Blanco Tequila, Midori and lime juice; and the Pink Paloma – with flavours of grapefruit complementing the Casamigos Blanco Tequila.
Where It All Began
Brought to you by those who drink it, Casamigos was founded by longtime friends George Clooney, Rande Gerber, and Discovery Land Company CEO & founder Michael Meldman. Tequila-filled nights with friends was how Casamigos was born. Launched in 2013, these small batch, ultra-premium tequilas are made from the finest hand-selected 100% Blue Weber agaves grown in the rich red clay soil and cool climate of Mexico’s Jalisco Highlands for a minimum of seven years.
