China Tang, the world-renowned restaurant dedicated to Cantonese cuisine, has unveiled an exquisite new creation: the Art Deco Cocktail Flight. Launching simultaneously in London, Hong Kong, and Dubai, this cocktail experience celebrates 100 years of the Art Deco movement, which has inspired China Tang’s identity since its beginning.
Founded in 2005 by the late Sir David Tang at The Dorchester in London, China Tang has become one of the world’s most celebrated destinations for authentic Cantonese dining. David Tang’s vision was to recreate the elegance and charm of 1930s Shanghai.
Over the past two decades, the flagship London restaurant has remained a landmark of the city’s dining scene. China Tang offers many exceptional dishes such as the signature Peking Duck and delicately crafted dim sum. The Art Deco Cocktail Flight embodies the glamour, and creativity of the movement. Available from 1st October, the flight unites three signature cocktails from each of China Tang’s global locations, presented together in an ornate Art Deco-inspired tray — a miniature celebration of style, culture, and craftsmanship.

The Art Deco Cocktails
The Art Deco Cocktail Flight offers an international tasting experience, capturing the spirit of the three locations London, Hong Kong, and Dubai, through the art of mixology. Each cocktail has been meticulously crafted by the respective bar teams, designed to reflect the essence of their location while capturing the Art Deco age.
The China Tang Martinez from London is a reinterpretation of the classic Martinez. It combines Bombay Sapphire, Fen Chew Baijiu, vermouth rosso, and maraschino liqueur, accented with ginseng tincture and a twist of orange. The cocktail is filtered through coffee beans, creating a drink with remarkable depth and aromatic richness.
From Hong Kong comes Tang 12, a vibrant, refreshing cocktail that perfectly encapsulates the city’s energy. Blending gin, vermouth bianco, and lemon with honey and a whisper of absinthe, Tang 12 delivers both balance and brightness, garnished with lemon zest.
Completing the trio is Chishui Flow, a lyrical expression of its location Dubai. A delicate mix of Moutai Baijiu, banana cordial, lychee, and lemon juice, softened with vanilla syrup and a touch of saline, it is served in a slender martini glass and finished with a cornflower garnish. The result is a cocktail that embodies as a toast to Dubai.

Art Deco in China Tang
China Tang’s Art Deco interiors are as significant to its identity as its menu. Each location is a tribute to the glamour of 1930s Shanghai, a city whose design, architecture, and cultural exuberance defined an era. Guests are greeted by an atmosphere that is both nostalgic and theatrical — an immersive escape into a time when dining was an art form and every detail mattered.
At The Dorchester in London, deep lacquered wood, mirrored panels, and ambient lighting set the tone for an evening of timeless elegance. The walls are adorned with intricate chinoiserie, hand-painted wallpaper, and carefully curated objets d’art, all reflecting Sir David Tang’s passion for artistry and heritage.
In Hong Kong, the design fuses East and West with effortless grace. The space celebrates both the city’s modern skyline and its historical roots, combining geometric patterns and traditional motifs in a way that feels both contemporary and classic.
Meanwhile, China Tang Dubai brings this aesthetic to the Middle East with its own interpretation of Art Deco grandeur. Sleek lines, soft lighting, and luxurious detailing evoke the opulence of the 1930s while harmonising with Dubai’s cosmopolitan energy. Across all locations, guests experience not just a restaurant, but a living museum of style, where every cocktail, dish, and gesture pays homage to the past while embracing the present.
