Crystal Cruises have a great approach to luxury – they want luxury to be personal, effortless, relaxed and as you like it. This is demonstrated by their industry-leading staff-to-guest service ratios and compelling voyages, whether it be on an ocean or river cruise. What we also love is the all inclusive element of Crystal Cruises that includes champagnes, fine wines and specialty dining including Umi Uma by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa.
Lucky guests aboard Crystal Endeavor’s ‘Indonesian Immersive & Great Barrier Reef’ remote expedition in October 2020 will also enjoy some of the world’s most celebrated cuisine, created and prepared by Master Chef Nobu Matsuhisa himself, when he joins the 16-night voyage to host an array of special events and dining experiences. With restaurants all over the world and a luxury hotel chain, Nobuyuki “Nobu” Matsuhisa is one of the world’s most celebrated celebrity chefs.
On the menu for Crystal Endeavor guests will be three limited-availability omakase, or chef’s choice dinners (not included in the all inclusive price). Two events for 30 guests will feature a menu of Nobu’s specialties selected and prepared by him and include a signed cookbook by the much-admired chef. Another Omakase Sushi Bar & Ultimate Vintage Connoisseur Wine Dinner hosted by Chef Nobu will be limited to just 9 guests in the expedition yacht’s Vintage Room, will offer a multicourse feast with each dish paired with selected sake and wines.
There will also be a cooking demo and a book signing photo session during the cruise. As well as great food, the very underrated liquid that is sake will also take centre stage with Sake Master Hazu complements the programming with a sake tasting. You can also learn a unique style of floral design that incorporates western and Japanese design concepts with Nicolai Bergmann, a renowned floral artist. These fun activities are part of the all inclusive nature of Crystal Cruises.
If you cant make this special sailing in 2020, Chef Nobu’s signature Japanese-Peruvian fusion food is served as part of the all-inclusive Crystal Experience aboard Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity and will debut aboard Crystal Endeavor when the German-built expedition yacht launches in August 2020. All Umi Uma & Sushi Bar chefs are personally trained by Chef Nobu himself in his restaurants around the world.
