23 January 2025 – The art of plant-based dining with Alexis Gauthier
Michelin-starred plant-based chef Alexis Gauthier, renowned for his inventive style at Gauthier Soho, has built an outstanding reputation in the modern culinary scene. He embraced a plant-based lifestyle years ago, crafting flavourful, meat-free menus. He has expanded his restaurant ventures to include locations at the National Film Institute (NFI) and 123V, situated on the former site of Native at Browns in Mayfair. His approach to creating dishes that shine without meat or animal products complements Phil’s emphasis on clean, vibrant flavours. Together, the two chefs promise to deliver a dynamic menu, crafting fresh, healthy dishes that embody creativity and balance with a focus on home-grown flavours this January 23rd.

The six-course menu features a sophisticated progression of dishes, starting with a warm thyme brioche accompanied by lemon piperade and curd. It includes highlights such as salt-baked white beetroot with pickled quince and a walnut pesto, followed by a black truffle demi-lune with Jerusalem artichoke and a cashew nut hummus with roasted vegetables in a light curry cream. The main courses showcase a saffron-infused Tourte de la Mer and roasted pumpkin with trompettes de la Mort mushrooms and chestnut vinaigrette. The meal concludes with a decadent walnut macaron with dark chocolate and aged whisky.

4 February 2025 – Sommelier Tom Gilbey challenges Phil Howard
This dinner promises to be an exciting and unique experience, as Phil teams up with wine expert Tom Gilbey. Typically at a wine-focused event, Chef Phil collaborates with a sommelier to design dishes that complement the featured wines. This time, however, Tom has flipped the script by challenging Phil to create a menu that’s notoriously difficult to pair with wine — leaving Tom to find the perfect matches. Tom, who gained Instagram fame for completing the 2024 London Marathon while stopping for blind wine tastings at every mile marker, is known for his mission to share wine knowledge with zero wine snobbery.
