Home hair removal is really popular at the moment in the beauty world so we road tested the Sensica SensilightPRO in those little hard to reach areas.
Using salon standard technology, the Sensilight PRO uses the signature Sensica light-based technology, Reactive Pulsed Light (RPL). Derived from professional salon technology, RPL allows you to enjoy safe and effective hair removal.
How do you use it?
First of all, make sure your skin type is suitable for the machine.
It’s super simple and in three steps:
- Shave and clean the skin
- Choose the energy level on the device
- Remove the hair
Where we used it
We tried it on legs, arms, stomach, back, shoulders, underarms and a little on the face.
What it felt like
You can control the device with the plus and minus control buttons or there is a skin detection button which does all the work for you. I am quite sensitive to pain and was bracing myself but there was no pain – just the feeling of something going over the skin.
Benefits
The Sensilight PRO is cordless, meaning you have the freedom to treat you hair as and when you want. Moreover, with the unlimited flashes, you truly have no boundaries when it comes to permanent hair removal. You can cover your legs in 15 minutes.
Efficient – It comes with a choice of 6 different energy levels to give you an incredibly personalized treatment experience. You can also use the device’s revolutionary energy recommendation button to set the optimal energy level for you.
Easy – The pulse and glide modes mean you don’t have to keep pressing the button during treatment.
Safe – Sensica takes the widely-known professional IPL technology one step further, using sensors that constantly react to your skin’s specific needs with every single flash.
A skin tone sensor evaluates the tone and condition of the skin at the beginning of each session and during treatment, if it detects a skin tone that is too dark will automatically deactivate the flash. The contact sensor ensures full contact between the device and skin. In case of a break in contact, it will automatically deactivate the flash trigger.
Gets to those hard to reach areas – There is a large treatment window (4.5cm square) and a small treatment window (2cm square) for small areas like the upper lip, chin, and jawline.
Results
Over two months, the hair is definitely growing back a lot less and in parts (on my arm), the hair is gone.
Overall, this is something that I would do to compliment salon laser hair removal to maximise the effects of hair removal on various body parts.
