Our Beachfront Swim-Up Sea View Grand Suite
From the moment I landed at Rhodes International Airport, The Ixian Grand & All Suites’ commitment to a memorable guest experience was evident, starting with a personal car transfer to the hotel.
Stepping onto the sun-kissed shores of Ixia Beach, I found myself embarking on an alluring journey that would soon redefine my notion of coastal indulgence in Greece. As I set foot inside the hotel, the first impression that struck me most was the warm smiles of the staff. A palpable air of anticipation filled the space as if the hotel itself was eager to unveil its secrets and delights.
The suite seamlessly merged the panoramic Mediterranean Sea view with peace and comfort, setting the stage for an experience that was nothing short of exhilarating. What captured my heart immediately was the suite’s pièce de résistance: a private terrace that led directly to a luxurious pool, teasingly flowing into the boundless Aegean Sea. It was as if the living space and the sea had joined in perfect harmony, creating an effortless transition from indoors to the awe-inspiring outdoors.
Inside, the neutral tones allowed the azure sea to dominate the scene. The living area was inviting, while the bedroom offered serenity and restfulness. Yet, the real thrill lay in the ability to step right from the terrace into the cool pool waters. Whether you’re feeling an invigorating morning dip or a leisurely evening escape, this pool is truly a private aquatic playground. It felt like the sea was an integral part of the suite, always within reach.
Despite the many interesting things to do and explore in the area, the first thing on my agenda was nothing but pure relaxation on the terrace. As the sun dipped below the horizon, I found myself on a lavish lounger, savouring a refreshing beverage and soaking in the wonderful views. The ever-changing colours of the sky, mirrored in the water, created a visual spectacle that left me spellbound.
Lunch at Milonges Restaurant
With the sun casting a golden glow over the crystalline waters, it was time to experience lunch at Milonges restaurant. The most polite and attentive waiter Thomas took me to my table inside the spacious terrace, which was adorned with white linen.
I started my gastronomic journey with a staple Greek Salad, a dish that embodies the essence of the Greek Mediterranean diet, featuring ripe tomatoes, crisp cucumbers, kalamata olives and creamy feta cheese, drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with oregano. For those seeking a taste of the sea, the Grilled Octopus is a must-try, beautifully charred and tender, showcasing the simplicity and excellence of Greek seafood.
For the main course, I tried the Lamb Kleftiko, a succulent masterpiece slow-cooked to perfection in parchment paper. It melts in your mouth, leaving behind an explosion of flavours from a combination of local herbs and spices. Complementing this menu is an extensive wine list featuring a variety of Greek and international wines.
After savouring the delightful appetisers and mouth-watering mains, one should not miss the opportunity to indulge in the restaurant’s selection of desserts. From the velvety Baklava to the rich and aromatic Greek coffee, each sweet treat at Milonges is an exquisite finale to your meal.
Dinner at Alazonia Restaurant
Alazonia Restaurant offers a dining experience that transcends the ordinary. A separate dining venue catering only to the guests of the hotel Suites, Alazonia provides a sophisticated setting that unveils the more exclusive side of dining.
The restaurant’s ambience is a blend of sophistication and intimacy, designed to elevate every meal into a memorable occasion. Whether dining inside to a captivating coastal backdrop or opting for the attractive alfresco set-up; each area of the restaurant flows with soft lighting, tasteful decor, and comfortable seating arrangements that make this restaurant an ideal setting for romantic dinners.
The ever-evolving menu and tasting options provide an adventurous dining experience. I tried a few craft dishes that tantalised my palate; including some zesty Asian-inspired starters to the delectable Mediterranean main courses. Every dish here is a testament to the culinary team’s artistry and creativity.
Spa Treatments
During my stay at The Ixian Grand & All Suites, I decided to treat myself to one of their hallmark full-body massages. The moment you step into the spa, the tranquil atmosphere wraps around you like a gentle caress. Soft, ambient lighting, the soothing aroma of essential oils and the harmonious sounds of nature create an environment that feels like a haven of serenity.
Before my full-body massage began, a trained therapist took the time to understand my preferences, any specific areas of tension and the level of pressure that I desired. Using a combination of techniques, such as Swedish, deep tissue and hot stone massages, my therapist was able to release tension, ease sore muscles, and induce a state of profound relaxation on my body. As their expert hands worked their magic, I could feel the stress and worries of the outside world melt away, leaving me in a state of bliss.
