If you’re looking for a unique, high-adrenaline experience at the Formula 1® Qatar Airways British Grand Prix 2024, MATCH Hospitality has the option with an all-inclusive package that ticks all the boxes: The Octane Terrace. But, if you’re on the search for more family-friendly accommodations for race enthusiasts of all ages, The Racing Green combines the adrenaline of the race alongside an array of child-friendly attractions and exciting demonstrations.
The Octane Terrace Experience
This space is situated on the inside track at the fastest part of the circuit with a dedicated grandstand and elevated platform, offering not just one of the best adrenaline-pumping views, but also features street food from Michelin Star chefs and music from well-known DJs, giving a festival vibe to the Silverstone experience.
Music will also take centre stage at Octane Terrace on Saturday evening with well-known DJs performing. There will be plenty of opportunities for photos with friends, with living walls and neon swing benches adding to the party atmosphere – there may even be the chance of a selfie with a celebrity. The Octane Terrace will have a party atmosphere, just 50 metres from the fastest part of the circuit, arguably one of the most premium locations.
This option is a more exciting and high-energy one, aiming to please a fun-seeking adventurous crowd. It combines ideal views of the race with a lively atmosphere, a spot for the best vibes and views. A day inside the Octane Terrace will include inner track access, open and vibrant bar areas, an elevated grandstand view, screens for race viewing and potential celebrity spotting. The day-to-day itinerary will include race viewing, a drivers’ parade, red arrows flying display, afternoon tea and a nightclub.
The Racing Green Experience
While Octane Terrace offers an exhilarating high-energy atmosphere, MATCH is also providing options for families looking to enjoy the race. The Racing Green offers great views of Wellington Straight and Aintree, the Loop and Village. The enclosure itself takes on a summer fair vibe over the race weekend and alongside various interactive experiences.
There will be thrilling displays to keep the young ones entertained. The area features race simulators, mega screens, and Scalextric racing challenges, all in close proximity to the fan zone. It promises a fun, action-filled weekend for all ages. With a wide open green space and several covered areas, this spot will allow for comfort and also fun for all ages, giving a similar festival atmosphere to the previous Octane while still maintaining a family-friendly experience.
A day inside The Racing Green includes an inner track view, racing simulators, and live music and entertainment throughout the day. Chances to spot racers practising as well as actual race viewing will be part of the itinerary, along with afternoon tea, the driver’s parade and the red arrows air display.
Dining at Octane and Racing Green
When it comes to Octane, there is no formal experience, as guests are free to choose from an array of food and drink outlets. They can select whatever delicious street food takes their fancy throughout the day – all included in the package.
It’s not just a standard street food offering though, this is prepared by Michelin Star chefs including Angela Hartnett OBE, Atul Kochhar and Tommy Banks, who you might get the chance to spot on-site. As well as these high-end street food selections, there will be numerous bars and coffee vendors. Expect some stunning street-food style dishes from Atul this year. His popular dishes include Crab Bonda, Khari Paneer Mirchi, Ahuna Gosht Curry and Chicken Tikka Pie, which he names as “a heavenly and hearty pie” created by a master of Indian flavours.
In terms of The Racing Green, this space will feature an array of artisan street food, and numerous bars to keep guests fed and watered throughout the day. The Racing Green’s grandstand presents iconic views of multiple corners of the track, and the enclosure has plenty of covered space to relax, with a great mix of artisan street food trucks, BBQ, cooking demonstrations and entertainment. At the heart of the action, it offers a mix of rides and racing for all the family.
