In line with its motto Explore to Inspire, PONANT’s expedition voyages provide a way to the animal world through encounters, knowledge, and discovery, similarly aligned to their ethos. PONANT encourages the beliefs “We protect better what we know” and with that preserving the planet’s cultural riches and natural gifts.
World Leaders
Hervé Gastinel, CEO of PONANT says: “We are proud to support the Animals: Art, Science and Sound exhibition at the British Library. As the world’s leader in luxury expedition voyages for the last 35 years, this partnership is very much aligned with our own philosophy and our desire to share our passion and knowledge about protecting the planet and the local communities.
We aim to awaken guests’ curiosity by offering voyages that will transform them, while protecting ecosystems that we as mariners hold dear. On board, we have expert teams of naturalist guides, expedition leaders, lecturers and scientists who share their passion and knowledge.
Similarly, we hope that visitors to the exhibition will be inspired and encouraged to protect the world and its inhabitants through acquiring knowledge of the animals and their exceptional habitats.”
Supporting Partnerships
Stuart Boxall, Head of Corporate Relations at the British Library, continues: “The British Library is delighted to be supported by PONANT on its major exhibition Animals: Art, Science and Sound. Animals have fascinated people for as long as records exist, and the desire to study, understand and document the natural world has resulted in some of humankind’s most awe-inspiring art, science and sound recordings, which can be seen first-hand in the Library’s exhibition.
As a designer of voyages on board small exploration ships that enable people to get close to and learn about different species, we are thrilled to be partnering with PONANT on this exhibition.”
