Tired of your London karaoke sessions being a drunken and budget after-thought on a night out? Elevate your experience with BAM Karaoke Box, the trendsetter in private Parisian karaoke, which is ready to shake up London’s social, dining, and drinking scene with its UK opening in Victoria. BAM has it all and is without a doubt, one of the most luxurious karaoke experiences in London.

THE CONCEPT
As always, Paris is the epitome of all things chic and where BAM was conceived, which was then followed by another seven successful launches across Europe, including Bordeaux and Madrid. The massive 10,000 sq. ft. destination on Victoria Street consists of an impressive 22 private karaoke rooms! But it is more than just about karaoke here. Walk in, and you can delight in the BAM BAM Bar, where food and drink of the highest order can be enjoyed alongside a live music stage and even an outdoor terrace in summer (a real luxury for London). We’ve never seen a karaoke venue like this, if you can even call it that, it’s more like a metropolis of musical fun.

THE DESIGN
If you’ve enjoyed the retro decadence of Bob Bob Ricard and the splendour of The Maine, you’ll appreciate the whimsical design of BAM, brought to you by the same artistic creators. Each room has its own distinct identity, style, and name, which means you can be coming time and time again and always indulge in something new. Our favourite rooms included The Flamingo Room, taking guests to St. James’s Park, The Zebra Room, which draws inspiration from the exotic animals of the era and The Button Up Room, a homage to the equestrian world, featuring rich leather, brass accents, and equestrian motifs.

But where does the true inspiration of London’s BAM come from? It’s decadent and mischievous aesthetic draws from Nell Gwyn’s life (she sounds fabulous), an iconic figure with a strong connection to the local area, with the interiors imitating her vibrant parties and tantalising life hosted at her town house in St James’s in the 17th Century – this is your official invitation to reignite her frivolity.

THE KARAOKE EXPERIENCE
The real essence of BAM is, of course, your karaoke experience. There are a range of rooms that can accommodate parties large or small. This is a luxury singing experience, the decor is lavish, artistic, and fun, no expense has been spared. Aside from the different personalities of each room, the lighting also changes, which can give you a whole other experience, be it more sexy, mysterious, or fully charged. Naturally, all the equipment is top-of-the-range and interactive.
You can order food and drinks via a screen so as to not be disturbed and close the door from the rest of the world and relieve that stress. Of course, this is also excellent for corporate events, and we are sure any of your Japanese colleagues will have their socks knocked off.

THE DRINKS
Enter and you meet the bijou bar, adorned with opulent murals and velvets. Vibrant colours and eclectic decor blend old and new for a relaxed atmosphere to start your night. At this point, it’s time to loosen up your vocal cords with a libation. BAM is more like an exclusive cocktail bar rather than a rowdy karaoke dive. Here you can enjoy signature and classic cocktails with a twist.
We particularly enjoyed Proud Nelly with Citadelle “No Mistake” Old Tom gin, yuzu liqueur, lychee nectar, and shiso bitters and Spotlight featuring The English “Smokey” whisky, umeshu, and ginger liqueur. I challenge you to find another karaoke bar that serves Ruinart Blanc de Blanc champagne and Johnnie Walker Blue Label! The bar will also offer craft beers, quality wines and luxury shooters – have the one with Melonade.

THE FOOD
You don’t want to nibble on some popcorn, you want to eat something delicious and not have to worry about making other dinner plans. Chef Sabrina Gidda will be serving a modern European menu with French influence – yum! Her signature blend of eclecticism includes devilled eggs with Exmoor caviar and chives, steak tartare croustade with dijonnaise and maldon cure salmon rillettes with pickled cucumbers & crostini.

If you want to get more stuck in, then you can enjoy the BAM fried chicken with hot honey mustard or croque monsieurs with fennel salami and reuben sauce, smoked tomato croquettes or opt for a larger plate – the merguez sausage hot dog with yogurt aioli and herbs.

WHY GO?
BAM really has it all in one place – come in and unwind with friends over an excellent cocktail, enjoy a delicious dinner if you wish. Want to liven it up? Book a private karaoke room, each unique, which can cater to your current mood, and enjoy sheer unadulterated fun with friends with food and drinks on tap. And if you still want to carry on, dance the night away alongside the live music stage and DJ booth. Goodbye faddish axe throwing and darts bars and come back to the ultimate ‘fun night out’. Let’s all bring back Karaoke but do it with sophistication, glamour, and decadence at BAM, Victoria.
