Cathay Pacific has taken luxury air travel to new heights with its all-new Business Class Aria Suite onboard its retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER aeroplanes. The upgraded aircraft made its debut on the Hong Kong-Beijing route, setting the stage for a broader rollout across regional and long-haul destinations including upcoming flights to Europe – including London – in early 2025. The Aria Suite embodies Cathay Pacific’s commitment to elevating customer experience, blending artistry, technology, and modern design to redefine comfort and privacy onboard.

Blending legacy and innovation for the ultimate Business Class experience
Customer experience is at the heart of the design of the all-new Aria Suite. In addition to retaining loved features of Cathay Pacific’s existing Business class seats, such as the reverse herringbone arrangement which allows for easier seating and greater mobility, a fully flat bed that can accommodate tall passengers, and ample storage which can hold necessities like books, devices, and drinks, Aria Suite features a range of innovations and enhancements to take the Business class experience to the next level. These innovations deliver excellent service and hospitality for its passengers. Elegance follows passengers with every step, with access to Cathay Pacific VIP lounges and priority check-in to begin the journey in utmost comfort. Onboard gourmet meals paired with fine wines or cocktails await, as well as a custom amenities kit for your journey to make your flying experience as pleasant as possible.

A new era of comfort and privacy in Business Class
Cathay Pacific has paid extra attention to create a personal in-suite space that instils an air of relaxation from the moment passengers step inside. The Aria suite introduces personalisation options like custom ambience of their suite through the various lighting options available at the touch of a button. Alternatively, let the crew set the mood with the airline’s activity-based presets like dining, sleep, or relaxation. Additionally, a soft glow radiates from under the finish to gently illuminate the suite at night.

More customisation can be found on the premium leather armrest, which offers multiple height adjustments to cater for various seating preferences. Set down, it extends the bed surface to allow passengers to comfortably recline. It’s also equipped with a large, easy-to-grip handle to facilitate getting up and down from the seat.

The Aria suite also provides a unique space for passengers to stow their most important belongings safely and securely through the console, which contains a slide-away drawer to reveal a compartment perfect for their passport, glasses, watch, and wallet. The side cabinet, which sits on the upper console, includes a headphone hook, a dedicated tray for a water bottle, and a large personal mirror enclosed in the door.

In addition to creating a space for relaxation, Cathay Pacific has paid close attention to the trims and feel of the suite. Its soft-touch suede walls, natural wool seat fabric, and gold-accented finish all come together to create a calming and luxurious sensory experience. The main body of the seat is made of wool designed for comfort and breathability, with an all-in-one design to ensure a seamless bed surface when folded down. The headrest is soft and made from premium leather, and so is the ottoman that extends the length of the bed. All these features come together to ensure passengers enjoy a truly restful experience in the air, day or night.

To top it all off, the Aria Suite introduces a suite door that creates a fully enclosed space for work, rest, and relaxation. The first of its kind on Cathay Pacific and a much-needed addition to business class seating. Centre-seat passengers can adjust the movable divider for their privacy or retract it for a shared flight experience with family and friends.

Pioneering Technology and Innovation in Every Detail
The attention to detail was not spared on the technology and modern comforts in the Aria Suite. The most eye-catching feature onboard is the 24-inch screen that contains inflight entertainment, seat settings, and journey information. Award-winning movies and shows can be watched in 4K definition, setting a record for the biggest size and highest definition yet on a Cathay business seat. For the most premium watching experience, passengers can also pair their Bluetooth headphones to the screen – a feature that anyone who flies has been begging for.

Away from the screen and onto the amenities, the marble-style side console has a built-in wireless charger. Alternatively, USB-A, USB-C, and traditional power outlets are also available close by, while the large foldable table tucked away under the screen features a notch to hold tablets and smartphones seamlessly while they are charging.

Finally, through the new Touchscreen passenger control unit, not only can passengers control the settings of the seating lamp and its three built-in directional light modes — meal, reading, and console — they can also select different pre-set seating positions including Taxi, Take-off & Landing, Lounge, and Bed with a single touch. Intuitively, secondary buttons are also easily accessible to change the seat’s position while lying down. Better yet, all these customisations can be made digitally using the seat controls on the infotainment screen.
