Delamina Townhouse, the latest venture by Limor and Amir Chen, is now open in Covent Garden. Housed in a Grade II listed Georgian townhouse, it offers a welcoming space for diners to experience the Chens’ signature Eastern Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. The restaurant features a carefully curated menu, combining vibrant classics with innovative new dishes, all complemented by a distinctive drinks list of Mediterranean wines and house cocktails. The interiors, with their preserved period features and modern design elements, create a bright and inviting atmosphere that reflects the Chens’ love of light, texture, and art. With its central location, stylish surroundings, and possibly the best hummus in London, Delamina Townhouse is a fab new addition to London’s dining scene.
Standout Dishes at Delamina Townhouse
Delamina Townhouse offers a variety of standout dishes on its à la carte menu, with a focus on bold, vibrant flavours and quality ingredients. The menu is focused and really strong and includes snacks, mix and match starters and larger plates. The whipped caramelised kalamata was unique – whipped-up olives release all those wonderful flavours and the dish was served with a seeded cracker. The highlight of the meal – a hummus – so rich and layered with flavours and textures including a tomato roe – this hummus is up there with the legendary hummus at Berenjak but nobody can get a table at Berenjak anymore so I suggest you come to Delamina instead! The hummus went well with the most tender venison and lamb koftas
Among the larger plates, the Grilled Chicken Ras-el-Hanout stands out, served with roasted sweet potato purée and crispy sweet potato strings for a satisfying, aromatic dish. For those craving something richer, the Beef Shawarma is a must-try, featuring tender beef with house pickles, dates, pine nuts, and tahini, all carefully served atop a warm pita. The Lamb Tagliata is another favourite, paired with zhoug, more of that yummy hummus, glazed shallots, and dukkah, offering a balanced combination of spice and freshness. Fish lovers can enjoy the Seared Tuna, complemented by a tangy pickled ginger vinaigrette, avocado purée, and the sweetness of blackberries, or opt for the Whole Crispy Seabass, served with a chilli-date molasses, pomegranate, and fresh herbs for a tantalising contrast of flavours.

Vegetarians are also well catered for with the Glazed Aubergine & Vegetables Hotpot, a comforting dish with haricot beans, tahini, and puffed buckwheat that’s both hearty and light. For those seeking seafood, the Za’atar-Seared Seafood offers a delectable mix of charred spring onions, crispy lilliput capers, and a depth of flavour from the Za’atar spice blend. The Cod Chermoula, with its giant couscous, roasted artichokes, and dill yoghurt, is another standout, offering a delicate balance of textures and bold flavours.

Distinctive Wines and Creative Cocktails
The drinks list at Delamina Townhouse reflects the restaurant’s commitment to quality and creativity, offering a diverse range of options that complement its vibrant Eastern Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. The selection of sparkling includes the elegant Champagne Réserve Jean de Villaré from France, which brings a delicate brioche and mineral finish. For those seeking something fruity and refreshing, the Rosé wines are a standout, with the Grenache Rosé from the Western Cape in South Africa providing a lively strawberry and apple profile, while the Domaine Bargemone Classique Rosé from Provence, France, offers delightful raspberry and white peach notes.
The white wine list is equally varied, featuring vibrant options like the Picpoul de Pinet from Languedoc, France, which delivers citrus and yellow apple with a touch of saline, and a Lebanese white wine, offering a zesty lime zest and mandarin finish. Red wine lovers can indulge in rich, full-bodied selections such as the Garnacha from Campo de Borja, Spain, and the Chianti Riserva from Tuscany, Italy, with its well-rounded fruity profile of Morello cherry. For something more complex, the Malbec Don Nicanor from Mendoza, Argentina, offers plum and cassis with a deep, rich finish.

Covent Garden Charm
Delamina Townhouse’s decor strikes a harmonious balance between the building’s period charm and modern design. Located in a Grade II listed Georgian townhouse, the restaurant has been carefully restored to highlight its original features, including high ceilings, sash windows, and intricate mouldings. The interiors are light-filled and airy, with soft furnishings and neutral tones creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Artworks blend seamlessly into the surroundings, adding a personal touch to the design. The dining areas include a generous dining bar, two drawing rooms with fireplaces, and several private dining spaces, ensuring a range of intimate settings. The small outdoor terrace provides a charming spot for al fresco dining, enhancing the overall inviting feel of this vibrant Covent Garden venue.
Overall
Delamina Townhouse encapsulates the unique charm and culinary creativity that have become synonymous with Limor and Amir Chen’s restaurant family. Situated in the heart of Covent Garden, this latest addition is more than just a place to eat—it’s a destination that seamlessly blends art, hospitality and arguably the best hummus in London.
