The Philippines – a taste of the exotic paradise is always nearby. Don Papa has a portfolio of decadent bottles including their flagship light and fruity Don Papa 7. Aged in barrels in a climate so unique, it breathes flavour into the rum. It is then blended with Mount Kanlaon spring water to 40% ABV by our master blender. This can be sipped straight to taste extravagant notes of honey, vanilla, and candied fruits, balanced by a subtle hint of citrus. This medium-bodied rum goes down smoothly and quickly. The brand is expanding its collection this year with the launch of two exclusive new bottles.

Don Papa Masskara
Inspired by the masked fiesta and fantasy-filled Masskara Festival, Don Papa Masskara is pot-distilled and infused with calamansi to offer distinctive citrus notes, sweet honey for the senses, and siling labuyo for a touch of heat and spice. Expect a rich, nectarous nose with a hint of fresh citrus and a fruity and smooth flavour with delicately interwoven notes of honey, candied fruits, and deliciously sweet citrus. Enjoy a long and rich finish, with a delightful siling labuyo chilli tone at the very end.

The Rum Process
Made from the finest sugarcane from Negros Occidental, Don Papa Rum is a molasses-based dark rum, the Sugarbowl of the Philippines. The inspiration for the name is the unsung mystic and hero, Papa Isio, one of the leading figures of the late 19th-century Philippine revolution.

How It’s Made
Crafted on the fertile foothills of the active volcano Mt. Kanlaon – Don Papa uses the finest blades of sugarcane and is expertly milled to produce sweet, rich molasses. Distilled and aged for over seven years in American oak barrels on the island of Negros Occidental (known locally as Sugarlandia), the pure, original Negros sugar cane is the foundation for flavours of sweet delicacies and long, rich-textured finish. After harvest, fermentation, and distillation, Don Papa Rum is blended to perfection by our Master Blender. As for packaging, the bottle is from France, the cork is from Portugal, the label is from Italy, and the brand image is from New York, all locally made to create a charming bottle.

Premium Flavours
Super-premium rum, Don Papa Gayuma – meaning ‘love potion’- pays tribute to the unique rituals performed by the shamans of Mt. Kanlaon and Isla del Fuego (‘the Island of Fire’). It is aged in ex-bourbon American oak casks for three years, before going through a double barrel finish – 6 months in high toast ex-Rioja barrels followed by 3 months in rich, warming, and smoky toasted oak casks, which first held Scotch whisky from the legendary isle of Islay. Experience flavours of light orange peel, deep cacao, delicate and soft vanilla, and hints of mint and cloves with a spicy, smokey finish.
