Tanqueray has whipped up a selection of gin martini cocktails to sip on while watching this year’s awards season. From dirty and shaken to sophisticated sips, Tanqueray’s capsule collection has something for everyone.
Charles Tanqueray made it his mission to create the world’s finest gin. He started by setting up his distillery in 1830, where Tanqueray London Dry originated. Charles’ experimenting spirit holds a legacy for the brand today, which has expanded its portfolio, including Tanqueray No. Ten, Tanqueray Rangpur, Tanqueray Malacca, Tanqueray Flor De Sevilla and limited editions inspired by Charles’ recipes.
Tanqueray won the bartender’s favourite award for Drinks International 2023. Their process involves small-bath crafted gin with whole citrus fruits like limes, oranges, and pink grapefruits made with a blend of chamomile flowers and accompanying botanicals like juniper, coriander, angelica, and sweet liquorice.
The collection, curated by Tanqueray Brand Ambassador Pippa Guy, features five balanced and garnished martini cocktails. Dubbed the Tini-Ten series, the cocktail recipes are ideal to be served during these chilly times at the peak of celebrity viewing events.
‘Lights, Camera, Action’ Tini-Ten Wet martini cocktail
Ingredients:
- 25ml Tanqueray No.10
- 20ml Dry Vermouth
- 15ml dilution
Garnish: Grapefruit peel.
Method: Add all ingredients into a mixing glass full of ice and stir until cold. Strain into a martini glass and garnish.
‘Every-gin, Everywhere All At Once’ Tini-Ten Grapefruit martini cocktail
Ingredients:
- 25ml Tanqueray No.10 Distilled Gin
- 15ml Pink grapefruit juice
- 10ml runny honey
- 15ml dilution
Garnish: Pink grapefruit peel.
Method: Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker full of ice and shake hard for twenty seconds. Double strain into a martini glass and garnish.
All Shook Up Dirty Tini-Ten martini Cocktail
Ingredients:
- 25ml Tanqueray No.10 Distilled Gin
- 20ml Dry Vermouth
- 2 x dash Saline solution
- 1 x muddled olive (in mixing tin)
- 15ml dilution
Garnish: Blue cheese olive.
Method: Add all ingredients into a mixing glass full of ice and stir until cold. Strain into a martini glass and garnish.
Lighting up the Empire Tini-Ten Umami martini cocktail
Ingredients:
- 30ml Tanqueray No.10 Distilled Gin
- 10ml pressed cherry tomato juice
- 5ml dry vermouth
- 2 x sesame oil
- 15ml dilution
Garnish: Cherry tomato.
Method: Add all ingredients into a mixing glass full of ice and stir until cold. Strain into a martini glass and garnish.
The Maverick Tini-Ten Gimlet martini Cocktail
Ingredients:
- 40ml Tanqueray No.10 Distilled Gin
- 5ml Lime Cordial
- 15ml dilution
