YES! It’s that magical time of the year again when mince pies are already on supermarket shelves and turkeys are back on the menu. This also means that returning to the Tobacco Dock from 21 – 24 November, Taste of London is a gift that keeps giving in 2019 with snow-filled festive forests, marshmallow toasting fire pits, London’s hottest restaurants and much more.
Food Highlights
Enjoy signature dishes at Taste of London from over 20 of the capital’s latest and most exciting restaurants, as well as some brand new ones they’ve created exclusively for Taste. New additions include Soho favourite Berenjak, Thai legends Smoking Goat, Lewis Hamilton-backed plant-based Neat Burger and vegetarian Middle Eastern dishes from newly opened Bubala. For the first time, every restaurant will offer a vegetarian dish on their menu.
A culinary experience from Action Against Hunger will run across the festival, with a line-up of top chefs creating exclusive variations on classic dishes. Plus, Taste of London’s Fire Pit returns, complete with fire-breathing pyrotechnic displays and chefs firing up their twists on Christmas classics.
Things to do at Taste of London
There are activities for all the family (kids tickets to the festival are just £5) so be sure to leave plenty of time to discover the best of the festival.
Indoor market – Over 120 artisan producers will transform a warehouse into a winter wonderland with dozens of foodie workshops on offer, including alcoholic jam making and interactive paella-cooking tutorials.
The Campfire: New for 2019 set in a towering forest, gather round a campfire and toast complimentary marshmallows on the open flame. This hideaway is somewhere to warm up with a cosy blanket, take in a cup of tea and escape the hustle and bustle of the festival.
Diners Club VIP Lounge – With a Diners Club VIP Feasting ticket, you can skip the queue with fast track entry to the festival. The ticket price is worth the extra few quid as the lounge is a private haven with a bar, DJ, snacks, Laurent Perrier champagne and much more.
Free workshops – Seasonal Secrets with Steven Lamb will give you ideas for creating a delicious Christmas with a range of free 30 minute workshops where you’ll be making all sorts of indulgent seasonal treats.
