Bar 31 Summer terrace at Shangri-La Hotel, At The Shard
Open till the end of September at the iconic Shangri-La Hotel At The Shard, this Tanqueray residency at Bar 31 is somewhere to experience a new citrus inspired gin cocktail menu at the Shard’s number one neighbourhood bar, which has been transformed into a floral garden complete with paper lanterns, wild flowers, warm glowing lights and greenery. Try a Royal Blush cocktail made with Tanqueray No. TEN, rhubarb, lemonade and fresh raspberries or a Lovage cocktail which mixes Tanqueray Lovage with Fever-Tree Tonic, coriander and Juniper berries. You can choose from a range of botanicals and garnishes to bring out the aromas of the gin.
To complement the new Tanqueray gin cocktails, you can also feast on a summery picnic box for two. Featuring half a roast chicken, Cornish Yarg Cheese from Neal’s Yard Dairy, sourdough bread from Bread Ahead, piccalilli, salad and a homemade hummus. This truly deserves a place in our Rooftops and terraces luxury list.
The Residence
Located on the sixth floor of Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square, The Residence is an exclusive pop-up bar open from Thursday-Saturday all Summer. One of London’s best kept pop up secrets, The Residence boasts panoramic views of the most iconic sights and architecture the city has to offer including the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and the Shard.
The menu includes summer-inspired cocktails created by talented head bartender Harry Nikolaou like The Daisy, a twist on the classic margarita and The Colada, a minimalistic and somewhat healthy Pina colada with rum, coconut water, pineapple, lime and spices. A selection of signature dishes from Asian restaurant Mei Ume are available, including steamed dim sum and the signature spicy tuna uramaki with truffle karashi and parmesan flakes.

Bedales of Borough, the impressive three-story wine emporium that launched in 2012 has recently undergone an extensive renovation incorporating a spectacular new market terrace.
