For many of us, our wanderlust has become a wander worry, with travel restrictions and quarantines abound. What better way to alleviate any travel concerns than exploring the gems of our home town at the Shangri-La Hotel, At The Shard, London? The hotel that dreams are made of re-opens on 14 August 2020 with an array of genuinely extraordinary experiences to make it worth saving your airfare and anxiety.

City View King Room
Shangri: Summer in the London Sky
This experience is ENORMOUS fun for all the family. It includes a guaranteed upgrade to the next available room category all with floor-to-ceiling windows, late check in, early check out, a champagne drenched Harvey Nichols personal shopping experience, an in-room bathing event in collaboration with Neal’s Yard Remedies, a delicious breakfast (with local Bermondsey honey) served in your room, and the jewel in the crown for such a bustling city… inclusive valet parking! No mean feat and the worth of which is not to be underestimated.
From £435 for two sharing.

Bathtub with a view in the London Suite
What we love about these impeccably curated experiences is that not only are they memorable and meaningful but they also promote local suppliers and businesses to give you the travel and tourist treats of your dreams from the comfort and safety of this iconic hotel. Their updated safety standards called the Shangri-La Cares commitment are comprehensive at every touch point.
Shangri: Escapism Inspiration Packages
Transform your room to recreate a destination-inspired getaway with a choice of various themes like ‘A Night in Paris’, ‘Beach Retreat’, ‘Safari Extravaganza’ and ‘A Night of Romance.’ Designed in collaboration with London wedding planning company The Proposers, there is a chic atmospheric beach getaway scene complete with sandy hurricane lamps and pampas grass for the coastal getaway without having to dust off sand from every crease and crevice.

Our favourite is a romantic Parisian setting complete with your own Tour Eiffel and the bonhomie of a pretty French bistro, all with a view of our own magical London. All these options come with a specially designed food and beverage menu of tantalising treats to really fulfil every element of a far flung vacation from the comfort of London.
From £780 and bookable as an add-on to a stay.

Shangri: Dining in the Sky
To visit these gorgeous bedrooms, you no longer have to stay overnight as now you can now dine in style in your own private hotel room. Available to hotel and non-hotel guest alike for lunch and dinner, each reconfigured hotel room is for up to six of you and with breath-taking views and privacy as standard as well as your own bathroom.
Make yourselves comfortable. Shoes off, slippers on, dim the lights and draw the curtains (but not too much to block out the views) before experiencing the next level of ‘room service.’ It starts with a glass of champagne, three courses from the new Asian/British Tîng menu and a half bottle of wine each.
From £180 per person.
Afternoon Tea
When you book a staycation package, you will also have a 20% discount in restaurants and bar at the hotel. We want to use our discount at Tîng on level 35 where there will be a colourful new Pop ArTEA. Relive the 1950s and indulge in the classic British favourites like cucumber, mature cheddar and pink pepper finger sandwiches, warm scones with clotted cream and jam (which goes first?) alongside psychedelic sweet treats.
From £59 per person. Until 30 September 2020.
Level 52
This floor at Shangri-La Hotel, At The Shard, London is a little bit special for many reasons.
With the highest infinity pool in Western Europe and brand new oversize Swedish sauna, gazing west watching the sun go down whilst in Speedos with fellow guests will for sure reignite your London pride.

Sage and Tomato cocktail at GŎNG
GŎNG on floor 52 has a new cocktail menu. The name of the bar stems from interlocking wooden brackets in traditional Chinese architecture so a menu of Interlocking Ingredients inspired by simplicity and sustainability has been created, with the ingredients at the heart of each creation. The a Agave and Chocolate is a smart take on a Negroni made with tequila and mezcal instead of gin. Punchy. One we CANT WAIT TO TRY is the Sage and Tomato with a Sea Purslane infused sweet vermouth, tomato water cordial, Lagavulin 16 year old single malt whisky and sage. Wowzer.
Fall in love with London all over again.
