The Garden Pavilion at Chiswick House is 2 minutes from where I have lived for the past 15 years, as a family we have so many amazing memories of these amazing gardens. Chiswick House is drenched in history. It has over 65 acres of grade one listed gardens, the attention to detail is mind-blowing it really is an original English country garden. And you never know what you are going to find.
The Garden Pavilion at Chiswick House is a fabulous pop-up restaurant located in the grounds of Chiswick House and blends perfectly with the surroundings of spring colourful flowers and plants. The purpose-built area is beautifully decorated with trees and plantings with a modern décor throughout. The AC also really helped on this beautiful Sunday.
Our table stunning garden views and we felt like we were on a staycation. I spot little trees decorated with fairy lights and from our table we could see the tree our kids climbed most days after school, I must say it felt good thinking of the good old days while enjoying a chilled glass of sparkling rose, I did say to my brother oh how times have changed.
Sam our waiter made this lunch so much more special, he is a local Chiswick lad working while home from Uni. He was so warm and professional, and very well trained, he made some great suggestions on the menu with confidence. The Garden
Pavilion’s exclusive in-house caterer Food Show have worked alongside some of the most celebrated chefs such as Jason Atherton have crafted a menu indicative of Chiswick House’s history, whilst also remaining forward-thinking. To accompany the dining menu, Food Show’s expert sommelier has crafted a tasty wine list including English sparkling wine.
The menu works really well with theme, using British and local. For starters I went for the passion fruit cured salmon, with mango salsa and crème fraiche. My main was the seabass with primavera and asparagus. An expertly cooked piece of fish. For dessert I went for the showstopper the edible flowerpot! This is a really fun take on carrot cake, I highly recommend this when you visit.
It is safe to say you find lots of little gems in this English Country Garden.
