This festive season, 45 Park Lane will be transformed into the ultimate luxury festive destination, and guests will be offered a contemporary alternative to traditional holiday fare. In keeping with the hotel’s strong ties to art, this year’s theme will focus on the arts with musicians, singers and artists coming together to create an unforgettable sparkling Christmas in the heart of London.

This transformation promises a radiant and diverse tribute to the festive spirit. Using his series on British singer David Bowie as his starting point, Hormazd Narielwalla has created bespoke decorations based on British music icons. Earlier this year, Narielwalla created two distinctive abstract pieces to commemorate the King’s Coronation, titled “The Crown” and “The Pattern King”, which were reproduced into 70 large-scale flags and placed on the exterior of the hotel. Two pieces from the Coronation installation alongside this year’s Christmas decorations will be available for purchase in January 2024 with proceeds being donated to charity.

Enrico Perri, bar manager at BAR45, has crafted a signature festive cocktail to pair with the festive dishes that will be available throughout December. The Honey Mead Tipple, a robust and punchy cocktail, has been created using a healthy serving of Remy VSOP brandy balanced by a dash of Cadello and elevated with flavours of lemon, orange bitter, ginger cordial and walnut honey. The best Negroni in London (their chestnut Negroni) and the full cocktail menu are also available throughout.

On Christmas Day, guests will be able to indulge in a full 4-course festive lunch offering by Elliott Grover, paired with the BAR45 signature Christmas cocktail. There will be a variety of canapés and entrees to start the meal, followed by the whole Roast Bronze Turkey, served with all the trimmings.

Christmas would not be complete without finishing with a deliciously light Christmas pudding soufflé paired with brandy-infused custard and homemade tonka bean ice cream.

Earlier this festive season, the celebrations commenced with the launch of the hotel’s first Artist’s Christmas tree, which included bespoke crafted decorations created by artist Hormazd Narielwalla and a guest appearance by Sir Cliff Richard. This collaboration is an imaginative blend of celebration and artistry, drawing cues from pop culture and timeless Christmas traditions. The 2024 tree, which represents an integral part of the 45 Park Lane art series, will spotlight handcrafted representations of iconic pop culture figures, all under the overarching theme of Christmas stars.
Prices for the Christmas lunch start at £220 per person, excluding wine and champagne. The turkey starter and Christmas pudding soufflé will be available to order throughout the month of December.
