BAM — short for Boîte à Musique (music box) — Europe’s biggest karaoke venue, blends private karaoke with the elegance and flair of Parisian design. Spanning 10,000 square feet, the venue features 22 private karaoke rooms, the chic BAM BAM bar, an outdoor terrace, and a stage for live music and DJs. It’s redefining luxury entertainment — think karaoke with a Chanel twist. Today we are here to try their new food menu.
As you arrive, you are welcomed by lush greenery and a playful terrace that captures the spirit of Nell Gwyn’s golden era. Inside, a charming bijou bar—adorned with lavish murals—sets a playful, carefree mood. Bold colours and a mix of vintage and modern design create an inviting, laid-back vibe. The graffiti-style exterior of Nell Gwyn’s townhouse hints at what’s to come, while rich planting adds a touch of enchantment. A sweeping staircase leads down to the BAM BAM Bar, where deconstructed chandeliers and luxurious textures channel the opulence of a past age, opening the door to Gwyn’s imaginative world.
Tucked beneath the venue on the lower ground floor, the BAM BAM Bar features a striking 10-foot illuminated bar, a stage for live music, and a DJ booth. With a licence until 1:30am, it’s designed for late-night revelry—complete with DJs, live acts, and curated events to keep the energy high into the early hours.

Dining
Designed in partnership with acclaimed interior designers BradyWilliams Studio — known for their work with The Maine and Bob Bob Ricard — each private room has its own unique character, name, and aesthetic. The design concept takes inspiration from the life of Nell Gwyn, a legendary local figure, capturing the spirit of her lavish 17th-century soirées held at her St James’s townhouse. The interiors reflect the playful energy and allure of her world.

Consultant Culinary Director Sabrina Gidda brings a modern new European menu with refined French influences to the table—capturing the dynamic energy and cosmopolitan flair of London. Her distinctive, eclectic approach is showcased in elegant small plates like devilled eggs topped with Exmoor caviar and chives, steak tartare croustades with dijonnaise, and the ultimate burger with an HG Walter Patty, double cheese & BAM sauce, served with a side of potato tots. There is also enjoy a range of artisanal flatbreads, from confit duck with orange marmalade to a luxurious Exmoor caviar option paired with smoked salmon and crème fraîche.

Some of the other menu highlights include the potato tots in smokey bravas aioli, the BAM fried chicken served with a hot honey mustard sauce and a dessert platter of salted caramel chocolate tart, mini macaron and a lemon meringue pie.

For a bigger group, I would recommend the Ooh La La London Platter (for 4-6 people): a caviar platter, served with creme fraiche, chives, shallot, egg, olive oil crisps, flatbread and potato tots.

The bar menu reimagines familiar favourites with a playful European twist. Standout bites include BAM fried chicken drizzled with hot honey mustard, indulgent cheese toasties with fennel salami and Reuben sauce, and smoked tomato croquettes. For heartier appetites, the merguez sausage hot dog with yogurt aioli and fresh herbs makes for a memorable main. Classic bar snacks are also on offer, such as the beloved gilda skewer—great for pairing with drinks.

BAM Karaoke Box complements its food offering with a vibrant beverage menu curated by renowned cocktail consultant Julian de Féral. There are fun house cocktails like the Proud Nelly, made with Citadelle “No Mistake” Old Tom gin, yuzu liqueur, lychee nectar, and shiso bitters; the Spotlight, featuring The English “Smokey” whisky, umeshu, and ginger liqueur; or the Victoreador, a bold blend of Curado Espadin tequila, apricot brandy, Espelette liqueur, Champagne, and soda.
