Cocktails in the City 2023 is back! London’s largest cocktail garden party returns this summer with 60 of the capital’s finest bars and bartenders, following on from a hugely successful 2022 series. Set within the exclusive confines of Bloomsbury’s Bedford Square Garden, the 2023 Summer Series will welcome over 10,000 people. Spanning three months, the festival will take place on the 6-8 July, 17-19 August and 7-9 September. Enjoy refreshing cocktails, street food, mixology masterclasses, live music, makeovers, silent discos, a little sunshine and maybe even some games.
Celebrating the passion, skill and creativity of London’s trendsetting bartending scene, each bar at Cocktails in the City 2023 will appear reimagined in pop-up form across the three alfresco events. Guests will enjoy world-famous signature serves and exclusive new creations from five-star hotel bars and secret speakeasies to the latest openings and industry hangouts, visitors can travel from Mayfair to Soho to Shoreditch in just a few short sips, sampling the very best bars in all of London.
Inspiration Edition July 6th – 8th
The Inspiration Edition will be showcasing the latest trends, flavours and a taste of what’s to come across the season. London’s leading bars will create a theatre of drinks, unveiling new creations, signature serves and highlighting innovative new brands. Exciting new talent and familiar faces will be gracing the bars from venues such as Henson’s Bar and Social, Blue Bar at The Berkeley, Zetter Townhouse and Hacha Agaveria. Guests will also be able to join a series of exclusive workshops including The Art of Hosting by London Essence, shake up their own cocktails with TT Liquor and try their hand at ice carving with Ice Carving Cool.
The Travel Edition August 17th – 19th
The Travel Edition of the series will welcome guests to explore a world of flavour, check in with some of London’s hottest hotel bars and be introduced to some of the continent’s leading bartenders. To travel is to live. Guests are invited to indulge in a healthy dose of escapism, wandering from Mexico to Japan and tropical Tiki paradises, all within a beautiful Georgian garden, open exclusively for Cocktails in the City. Highlighting London’s global outlook, bars in the August line-up include Café Pacifico, Chotto Matte, Laki Kane, Punch Room at London Edition, Kindred and The Aubrey at The Mandarin Oriental.
A Festival of Drinks September 7th – 9th
Bringing the festival vibes to the heart of London, the final instalment of Cocktails in the City 2023 will be amping up the live music and doubling down on the fun and games – think silent disco, secret bars and games of skill and chance! Bedford Square Gardens will be transformed into an immersive and interactive cocktail celebration where festivalgoers are encouraged to get into their festival best and sip on spritzes and slushies to see out the summer.
A Festival of Drinks will welcome top London bars including Prince Akatoki, Bourne & Hollingsworth, The Mayor Of Scaredy Cat Town, Trailer Happiness and many more.
