Earth Hour is organised by the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) to raise awareness of climate change all over the world. Major landmarks including the Eiffel Tower, businesses and households will switch off their lights to mark Earth Hour every year. JW Steakhouse knew what to do!
JW Marriott Grosvenor House on Park Lane will be celebrating Earth Hour by turning off the lights for a unique one night only candle lit dinner at their award winning restaurant, JW Steakhouse. The dining room will be lit by candlelight only for Earth Hour between 830pm and 930pm, creating a magical atmosphere.
From the dinner menu, we recommend a delicate Maryland style crabcake which is packed with lumps of crab rather than shredded crab so you really taste the crab meat. For mains, try a 33oz Aberdeen Angus Tomahawk rib eye served on the bone with a selection of sauces including their famous garlic butter.
Sustainability is ever important in luxury hotels and Grosvenor House certainly do their bit from sustainable cleaning products through to replacing every single light with energy saving LED lights. 100% of food waste is also reused in the agricultural industry.
Everyone can take part in Earth Hour by turning off lights and electrical appliances for the full hour. Better still, book a table at JW Steakhouse.
