If you want to spend the King’s Coronation in true style, then Galvin at Windows with its incomparable sky-high views over Buckingham Palace is the place to be. The Mayfair restaurant has created a five-course tasting menu as a tribute to the King, before hosting an Extraordinary British feast on Sunday 7 May 2023.

The Location
Galvin at Windows is an award winning restaurant situated in the heart of Mayfair, offering unparalleled views of Buckingham Palace and the Mall from its spot on the 28th floor of the London Hilton on Park Lane.

The Coronation Menu
Carefully curated by Head Chef Marc Hardiman, David Jaram and team, everyone is passionate about using the best of seasonal and sustainable British produce just like His Majesty King Charles III. The special 5 course coronation menu provides a royal take on classically British cuisine.

Each course is consistent in bestowing a nod to the King: starting with Herbs and Flowers, an ode to Highgrove; followed by a twist on baked cheesy eggs (rumoured to be the King’s favourite childhood dish) with a coddled St Ewes egg, cured ham and Montgomery cheddar. Before the main course, guests will enjoy seasonal vegetables presented as a ‘Garden Patch’ and seasoned with malt and wild herbs, referencing the King’s love of nature and gardening. The show stopping main course will feature Maran chicken (one of the breeds that the King keeps) accompanied by British peas, broad beans and wild garlic; and the tasting menu will finish on a sweet note of one of His Majesty’s favourite desserts, a Lemon Cream, served alongside raspberries and meringue.

The Coronation tasting menu will be available from Monday 1 May to Saturday 6 May 2023, the day of the Coronation and costs £110 per person, and £55 per child (under 12).

The Sunday Coronation Feast
Galvin at Windows will then host its take on The Coronation Big Lunch on Sunday 7 May 2023 with a truly indulgent and delicious Great British Feast. Chef Marc Hardiman has created a family feast style celebration for the whole table to share. This will be a festival of British flavours starting with a ‘Procession’ of cold cut meats, cured, smoked and marinated South Coast fish; followed by a ‘Feast’ of several mouth-watering options to share including a slow cooked shoulder of West Country lamb, a whole roast Devon white chicken seasoned with chimichurri, woodland mushroom fregola and wild garlic, accompanied by new season potatoes, seasonal vegetables and an array of flavourful sauces and condiments.
The British Coronation Feast will be served on Sunday 7th May and costs £79 per person, and £39.50 per child (under 12).

The Future for the Hotel
After a highly-anticipated multi million pound refurbishment, which will see the entire hotel completely transformed through innovative design, London’s Hilton on Park Lane will be ready for celebration by September 2023. The hotel has contracted G.A. Design International, the award-winning luxury hotel interior design group, to bring its new vision to life – in a fusion reflecting the establishment’s glamorous 1960s heritage as well as incorporating a modern twist to showcase London’s timeless cosmopolitan appeal. The new design has been deliberately intended to coincide with the hotel’s 60th anniversary, which will be celebrated in September 2023 – bringing a vibrancy to the ground floor and introducing two new hot spots to the local Mayfair area.
