Disrepute Bar in Soho has a limited-time, June-only collaboration with The Lakes Distillery. This menu features various brilliant whiskies from The Lakes, including a tasting of the Galaxia Edition whisky.

The Cocktails
The first cocktail included on the menu is Pear & Elderflower; The One Fine Blended Whisky, Pear, Elderflower, Ginger Ale, an herbal and fruity drink that is underscored by the slight earthiness of the Ginger Ale that lets the whisky shine through.
For a tropical yet rich taste, there is Coconut & Cedarwood; The One Colheita Cask Finished Whisky Palo Cortado, Coconut, Cedarwood, Pedro Ximenez. This cocktail is an Old Fashioned style with the port finish of the whisky coming through gently.

The menu also includes Nectarine & Yoghurt; The One Sherry Cask Finished, Nectarine, Reclaimed Yoghurt from another cocktail, Absinthe, and Soda. The profile for this cocktail is an extremely unique one, with creamy rich notes coming from the yoghurt.
Cherry & Almond; The Lakes Whiskymaker Reserve No. 7, Amaretto, Amontillado, Kirsch, Cocoa is the last cocktail and it is distinctly nutty thanks to the Amaretto, with notes of cherry. The Reserve No.7 and Amontillado blend both tastes together for a solid cocktail.

Disrepute
Disrepute offers world class mixology and hospitality, managed by Lorenzo Gavelli. The bar takes the place of ‘The Pinstripe Club,’ a historic bar that has gone down in Soho history in infamy, as it is the place where Keeler first met Profumo.

In design it is baroque and ornamental, with wooden walls and vaulted ceilings. Disrepute is filled with plush sofas, secret nooks and crannies, and is lit dimly; living up to its history, Disrepute truly seems to be a perfect place for a secret rendezvous, or simply an intimate drink or two.

The bar revels in the infamy and the disreputable past of where it is now established, where politicians and the elite of society were shoulder to shoulder with dancers, musicians and artists. The offerings at the bar reflect this: each cocktail is named after women of supposed disrepute; however the bar seeks to honor them through beautifully crafted cocktails.

The Whiskies
The One Fine Blended Whisky—Versatile yet distinct, this whisky fits all occasions. It contains notes of fresh orchard fruits and butterscotch, with a scent of smokiness. The finish is vanilla custard, lightly honeyed fruits, and a slight amount of spice.

The One Colheita Cask Finished Whisky Palo Cortado—This whisky is extremely sweet and rich, with notes of peach, apricot, and autumnal smoke for the scent, add to a palate of ripe plum, vanilla custard, and warming cinnamon.

The One Sherry Cask Finished—Made within porous Spanish Oak, the whisky travels deeper into the barrel which allows for an unparalleled flavour. The fragrance of peat smoke, treacle toffee, and dried fruit makes a dark chocolate, orange oil and wood smoke taste. The finish is smoky with tones of dried fruits.

The Lakes Whiskymaker Reserve No. 7—Made in the highest quality Oloroso, PX, and red wine casks, this reserve is the ultimate experience in terms of taste. It has a refined and delicate sweetness on the nose, and tastes of rich and creamy honeyed fruits and dark chocolate define this whisky as one that is fragrant, warm, and chocolatey.

Galaxia
The Whiskymakers Editions Galaxia is the featured drink on the menu, and it is served neat. On the palate, Galaxia is both light and dark, a blend of many rich flavours, a journey of taste. Ginger and cocoa define each other, and awash themselves with notes of candied pecans and wood spice; within this swirling savoury storm is a backdrop of manuka honey as well, pushing the palate to the limit of flavour.

The menu is for June only, so book now, and take a journey through the magical whiskies from the Lakes Distillery, from the comfort and glam of the Disrepute Bar.
