Shangri-la: Bar 31
In Bar 31, the stylish Christmas kitsch continues. And since we’ve no place to go (for now) Let it Snow! Romantic, cosy chalets for couples or bubbles to snuggle in are here while a snow machine transports you to an Austrian fairytale mountain. Serving classic dishes of warm, creamy Raclette, smokey wurst, mouth watering Sauerkraut and Schnitzel. The highlight of the desserts is Mama Macher’s Apfelstrudel, a delicious Viennese apple strudel that pays homage to General Manager Kurt Macher’s secret family recipe. These substantial festive treats are accompanied by sweetly spiced Gluwein, comforting hot chocolate and heady hot toddies.
Shangri-la: TĪNG
Ascend to TĪNG to feast your eyes and fill your belly starting with a magical frosted gingerbread scene (with some cute little hidden secrets). Set against a sparkling London skyline, let it whet your appetite for the Apres Ski Cream Tea. Delectable finger sandwiches, spiced scones, juicy fruit preserves, cloud like mallow teacakes and glorious Christmas Kombucha to quench your festive thirst.
Because our friends at Shangri-La are far from Scroogy, there is also an indulgent Christmas Day feast for lunch or dinner, fit for the ghosts of Christmas past present and future, with Norfolk turkey, a roast rib of beef, a special kids menu and an abundance of traditional British puddings to ensure we have all we want for Christmas!
New Year’s Eve 2020
Because the seasons celebrations don’t stop after jingle bells, our true loves at Shangri-La give us an extravagant five-course, gold ring menu for a New Year 2020 party with a twist! Musical and comedic entertainment throughout the evening 2021 starts the right way. Quail eggs, venison bolognese, Hereford beef, lobster and more, all locally-sourced ingredients and accompanied with fine wine pairings will ring out the old and ring in the new!
Shangri-la GŎNG Bar
To ensure the next year will be the Perfect Year, celebrate in GŎNG Bar, Western Europe’s highest drinking spot, and resolutely start as you mean to go on. Sip champagne and taste sublime sushi or indulge in a seasonal Beluga Vodka cocktail as pink as the evening sky. With a DJ to dance the year in and a guaranteed window seat for you to see the sun set on the indomitable 2020. Alternatively greet the sunrise of the first day of 2021 with the same flair at a New Year’s Day breakfast with a relaxing and celebratory playlist to set the atmosphere as well as a view to remember.
Stay over
We don’t need a crowded ballroom as the hotel also offers the ultimate Decoration and Celebration room package. Including free access to the gym on level 52, sauna and sky pool, you can treat yourself to a relaxing massage with Neal’s Yard Remedies essential oils. On the big night, kooky cute party favours, Veuve Cliquot champagne and various platters of delectable delights will be delivered to your room just in time for Auld Lang Syne.
