Model and entrepreneur Jodie Kidd made headlines this year when she rescued eco-skincare brand Skin & Tonic months after its collapse. First launched in 2015, Skin & Tonic quickly won devotees with its commitment to organic ingredients and sustainable practices. Since acquiring the company in early 2022, she has set about reviving its pioneering spirit; pledging to uphold its chemical-free formulas while expanding the product line. With Kidd at the helm, Skin & Tonic is poised to thrive once more, bringing ethically sourced skincare to consciousness consumers around the world.

How did it all start?
Skin & Tonic first launched in 2015 and I was a fan from the start. Sadly the original team behind the brand ran into trouble and earlier this year we stepped in to start it again. Our mission is to breathe new life into this brilliant brand.
Tell us about your brand ethos
Quite simply, Skin & Tonic’s brand ethos is to produce high quality, pure, organic skincare products that are presented in recycled and recyclable packaging.
What products do you offer?
Skin & Tonic products cater for all skin types in all seasons – we have the solution for all skincare needs. An example is our best selling Calm Balm, which is serenity in a jar, perfect for stressful days and sleepless nights. Expect soothing scents of lavender, chamomile and calendula. This buttery-soft balm is perfect for dry, irritated skin, melting in blissfully to soothe and calm – perfect for the harsh winter months.
What makes Skin & Tonic different?
The fact that there is not a single ingredient that shouldn’t be there makes Skin & Tonic stand out. No chemicals, just pure and simple!

Tell us about the organic element within the products that makes them stand out?
All Skin & Tonic ingredients are organic, so you won’t be putting chemicals on your skin. For me and thousands of happy customers, that can only be good news.
What ingredients do you avoid?
Chemicals are a big no no. We are yet to produce sunscreen because there is no such thing without a chemical. I am happy to say that we are working on finding a solution!
Do the products also promote positive mental health?
You bet! We believe that if you look good and feel good about what you are putting on your skin, your mind will feel positive and healthy.

Brands are increasingly expected to be eco-conscious and to have a commitment to sustainability. What eco trends are you seeing in the sector?
We work with Orean, one of the finest manufacturers in the world who share all our values. There is no testing on animals and no plastic packaging.
What is the next big thing in the skin health sector?
More and more people are seeking products with natural and pure ingredients. Maybe other brands will be following our lead!

What is next for Skin & Tonic?
Lots of happy customers and lots of new products coming up!
