The Grill by Tom Booton is daringly driving destination dining forward into a new-found era of innovation. The next chapter has arrived for the Dorchester, as they open the modern British restaurant under the executive chef Tom Booton. It is the first time in 92 years, that the Dorchester has named their restaurant after their executive chef.
Tom Booton now has his name on top of the door as one of London’s most bold talents. He has incorporated only the best ingredients, sourced locally and cooked with flair by him and his outstanding team, into a lively crafted menu. Unified with the passion for great food, the innovative culinary and service style transcends the renowned setting, with an upbeat and informal atmosphere curated by Tom.
Tom’s cheeky personality shines through the menu as it always has done, with modern twists on British home cooking classics. The menu will be accompanied by a list of playful cocktails and artisan English beer. The creative atmosphere of the restaurant pairs well with the serene approach of the menu and carefully selected music. The new devised menu was launched on 18 May 2023, including a sharing concept highlighting British produce and local London creatives. The Grill by Tom Booton is sourced from the best of Cornwall to Colchester, supplied locally with brilliant partners.
Lunch and Dinner Selection
The menu begins with a ‘Snacks’ listing created at the Chef’s Counter, including Welsh lamb belly and cuttlefish skewers, followed by a variety of sharable small plates, from Cornish dressed crab tart to white pudding on brioche. An array of large plates includes ‘All the Chicken’, served alongside reimagined classics such as ham, egg and chips.
Various sides include stuffed jacket potatoes, BBQ purple sprouting broccoli, and triple cooked chips with gravy mayonnaise pair well with the dishes. Dessert finishes off the menu with a pudding selection including the popular signature soft serves, lemon and white chocolate mille-feuille, and red onion and walnut tart. They are paired with rare teas and Difference Coffee with cream and hazelnuts and a shot of Blue Jamaican mountain coffee, and a baked apple tart with cider and Cornish Yarg.
The relaunch will include adventurous twists on well-known breakfast items, showcasing signature savoury dishes such as truffled egg & soldiers, The Grill’s take on a full English breakfast, Arnold Bennett omelette, and Tom’s bacon, cheesy sauce & fried egg baked pastry. Diners may begin with seasonal fruits and grains. There is an offering of pastries including croissants, maple and pecan danish twists, and tulameen raspberry and custard cream stuffed pastries.

Guests of the Chef’s Counter will have a front row seat to the chefs in action, encompassing a theatre like atmosphere of theatre throughout the restaurant.
