From Cannes to Saint-Barthélemy, the La Guérite beach club and restaurant concept has been enchanting diners all over the world with their simple gourmet philosophy: Bounty, authenticity, and togetherness. Known as a best-kept secret spot for regulars, the club has been newly renovated for spring 2023 with the addition of La Guérite Beach in Saint-Barths, a private white sand beach and restaurant nestled on the bay of Saint-Jean.
In 1902, La Guérite was an old fisherman’s cabin, but its charm, authenticity and Mediterranean cuisine have made it an institution of the Côte d’Azur. In 2015, the establishment sought an idyllic setting and decided to bring its philosophical flavours to the coveted Saint-Barths island. Now La Guérite Gustavia and La Guérite Saint-Jean bring the island paradise to life year-round, with a private beach experience.
The refurbished and colourful interiors were envisioned by Cipriani and Pellerin, reflecting the vibrant ingredients on the menu designed by Chef Yiannis Kioroglou. The menu pays homage to Yiannis’s boisterous Greek dinners that made up his childhood, emphasizing sharing as many flavours as possible. Menu highlights include grilled fish, lobsters, burrata, fresh tomatoes, and the signature La Guérite pasta.
Gourmet food in the Port of Gustavia
The restaurant and club are settled between the fishing boats and the yachts with a décor inspired by the colours of the south of France. The Guérite Saint-Barthélemy takes its guests on a journey from the lemon trees of Amalfi to the Cyclades. From grilled meats to aromatic herbs and marinades, the Mediterranean is honoured during a gourmet dinner. The motto ‘Sharing is Caring’ is at the heart of the culinary experience. Chef Yiannis’s menu is healthy, tasty and generous.
Baie de Saint-Jean
The Baie de St. Jean is one of the prettiest beaches in the world. It is the epitome of the French West Indies and more French than the French Riviera. On the beach side, live the Caribbean dolce vita by chaining sunbathing and diving in the clear waters and end the day with a creative cocktail at sunset.
The Lounge
The Bar at La Guérite Saint-Barthélémy is the ideal spot to enjoy a cocktail created by their expert mixologist. Enjoy a pre-dinner drink, a more casual dinner, an after-dinner meeting, or just relax with signature cocktails while listening to their resident DJ set.
In a nutshell
On the new private La Guérite beach club, days are whiled away basking on white sand, diving in azure waters, and sipping gleaming cocktails at sunset – an ode to true relaxation in the Caribbean tropics. It really doesn’t get better.
