You could visit SiLVA Restaurant London for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the same day, and we wouldn’t blame you. Why? This new Mayfair hotspot runs from morning until night, changing its vibe and menu to mirror its woodland-inspired concept and the beauty of changing seasons, as SiLVA translates to ‘forest’ in Latin. In fact, the decor itself draws influences from across the Mediterranean all the way to Japan. During the early hours, it’s bright and airy, and when evening comes, it shifts to cosy and intimate—literally as though the restaurant’s own sun had set.
Designed by Atelier Wren, a global design leader behind some of the world’s most photographed restaurants, the studio believes that design should be thoughtful, refined, and always infused with joy and a creative edge. What especially sets them apart is their lighting projects, meticulously developed in-house to introduce drama and excitement to any space they work with.
The Decor at SiLVA Restaurant London
Located in Bruton Place, the atmosphere at SiLVA feels inviting and friendly, with curved banquette seating gently flowing through the space, softening the existing architecture. On the walls, you’ll see Cirrus wallpaper resembling delicate clouds, adorned next to tactile plaster panels featuring molds of menu ingredients like fruits, vegetables, and herbs—very artistic. The overall colour palette, featuring earthy tones, mixed woods, marble, moss and pine greens, evokes warmth while mimicking the changing seasons.
But if you ask us, the lighting design is a masterpiece on its own, with custom fixtures crafted in Venice using the traditional Murano glass-blowing technique, which involves heating glass until it’s molten, then shaping it by blowing air into it, and finally, cooling and polishing it to the right shape. Depending on the time of the day, these fixtures adapt, glow, and enhance SiLVA’s vibe.

If you head to the private Garden Room, you’ll definitely have a tranquil time, thanks to its greenhouse-inspired paneling and skylight, which bathes the space in natural light and features decorative foliage and flower castings across the walls. Meanwhile upstairs, the bar showcases Atelier Wren’s craft and originality with intricately decorated windows combined with bold tones and vibrant patterns. In fact, the walls were hand-painted by a scenic artist to reflect an abstract interpretation of blooming vegetation. Signature cocktails are a must try in the bar including a clever salt and pepper martini.

The Food
You’ve seen all this stunning decor and probably forgotten about the food for a moment—it’s equally delicious. Drawing on Founder Daria Grebenyuk’s love for travelling, she’s collaborated with Head Chef Slawomir Sawicki to curate menus that blend diverse influences and techniques while honouring the seasonality of the ingredients. Slawomir really gets it and has created a menu with a great price point. Showcasing some stunning dishes of the year, the menu is accessible and enticing.
Finally, there is some breakfast competition for HIDE! You can enjoy eggs as simple as poached, served alongside home-cured salmon or atop a courgette and potato rosti, or go for something special, like the crab and gruyère omelette. If you have a sweet tooth, the baked goods hit the spot—especially the banana and chocolate bread with miso butter.

Standout options from the dinner menu include a crispy fried egg elegantly served atop parmesan cream, a potato waffle topped with steak tartare and gently shaved winter truffle, and Cornish crab raviolo with langoustine sauce. The raw section is particularly a must-try, featuring dishes like salmon with crunchy rice, avocado, and ponzu, as well as bass crudo or Chutoro tartare with mango and mizuna. Our highlight was a steak tartare. So many restaurants get this wrong but this steak tartare was the best of the year, easily. Tender and beautifully cut fillet steak sat atop a potato waffle. Stunning and everything a steak tartare should be. A pumpkin & squash gratin tasted like the most decadent dauphinoise minus the potatoes. Gluten-free and genius.
There are also some dishes inspired by Ristorante Pesce Baracca in Forte dei Marmi, such as Creedy Carver duck with coco beans and an orange jus, alongside seabass all’acqua pazza, served with courgettes and green olives. For sharing, there are generous plates like chateaubriand with pica pau sauce and wild mushrooms. To finish, a creamy Basque cheesecake was the only choice.

Overall
The design by the talented team at Atelier Wren showcases this wonderful new restaurant as day transitions into night. An oasis from the hustle of Mayfair, there is a homely, chic and elegant feel to SiLVA that makes me want to come back again and again.
